There will be lakhs of orders during Diwali and now multiply with 4 😅
Translashan: #masterstroke
swiggy has done the same thing and as usual the number of orders have risen a lot during this week. pure profit.
The keyword is 'temporarily' - which will probably never revert back.
Just greedy. Zomato has already turned profitable. If they had cited recovery of sunk cost that would have been acceptable. What operational costs are they trying to recover if they are already Profitable?
That's called business my friend 😉
already stopped using swiggy and zomato.
I have noticed that zomato and swiggy are somewhere responsible for increasing the prices of products as well. There is a local pizza house in delhi which used to charge Rs 440 incl gst for large pizza in store and Rs 600 excl gst on swiggy n zomato, due to this I always preferred to buy directly from there instead of swiggy. But now they have increased the in store prices to 550 and on swiggy 800 with 20% discount offer. So a 25% price jump.
I personally feel in the name of discount, they are making us fool and colluding with companies/restaurants to increase the price. Same behaviour I have noted in fmcg as well. These quick commerce companies will follow the same path and make the products costlier indirectly.
I think this is the high time to start avoiding these apps else ready to pay higher prices along with shitty fees.
The price of dish is decided by a restaurant, not Swiggy/Zomato. Even discount coupons (not bank discount) are given by them. To make profit, the restaurant needs to jack up the price for sure.
At the same time Swiggy/Zomato need to pay its employees and riders 🥲
the Rs4 increase seems small. But in percentage...😬
