Zomato don't encourage order cancellation at Zomato, because it leads to a tremendous amount of food wastage.

Inspite of stringent policies, and and a no-refund policy for cancellations, more than 4 lakh perfectly good orders get canceled on Zomato, for various reasons by customers.

The top concern for Zomato, the restaurant industry, and even the customers who cancel these orders, is to somehow save the food from going to waste.

Today, Zomato is introducing a new feature (being scaled as we speak) – Food Rescue!

Canceled orders will now pop up for nearby customers, who can grab them at an unbeatable price, in their original untampered packaging, and receive them in just minutes.

A good initiative to earn and save food. Now people will order item and after pickup ask their friend to open app later they will cancel their order. Screen will popup on their friend screen and order it at lesser price.

No, deepinder goyal clarified that, cancellation is non refundable. So this friend thing won't work.

Taking hundred rupees from Customer 1 ⥄ paying eighty to the vendor/kitchen.

Taking thirty rupees from Customer 2 ↮ paying zero to the vendor/kitchen.

Either creative team members or his current partner/imported spouse is helping him reduce the burn-rate in unique ways.

Pagla gaya hai yeh .. roj naya gaanjaa peeta hai aur aal-bal sochtaa hai ,

issey better zomato themselve donate to nearest NGO or whoever needy .

No one will touch food rejected / cancelled by others .

As the Features keep increasing on these Food Delivery apps, now my orders Increased from atleast Once a Month to Zero { yes you heard that right grinning }.

I still have my Magic Wand 🪄, to get what food I want but options has Reduced lately disappointed .

Feature is Attempted Ethical Practice but we can't just know whats behind the door !

As per screenshot shared by OP, Rescued Food is Costing Similar To Wild Ones 🙀.

Classic Veg Burger Rescued & Vaccinated? [ Not mentioned] but I think it's vaccinated instantly by Delivery person, that's why cost is Still So High. [ For Rescued Burger ] hamburger
