Zero Balance Account

Kotak 811, jio payments Bank , bob bro savings account ,

There are a lot of old threads, and mostly no T&C changed on those zero balance accounts, so please search the old DD threads to find the detailed lists (including free physical debit card as well).

Some of them are:

• SBM Niyo Global (free physical debit card)
• SBI account (deactivate physical card for free, keep only virtual card)
• Fincare 101 account (virtual card)
• Jio saving account (virtual card)
• IDFC saving account (pratham account type or some other name)
• Unity Saving account via Wint wealth (physical card free for now, apply via whatsapp banking)
• Utkarsh saving account via NiyoX (virtual card) (program is paused for sometime, will be back in sometime i think)

Dont know why but i love sbi, its a zero balance acnt + free rupay debit card. Yono app improved too much now.

Apart from Kotak 811 and BOB Lite Savings account, SBI don't charge anything for non-maintenance on their savings account, which practically makes their accounts zero balance. Just apply for a regular one, and don't ask for the debit card. Don't activate it if you still receive it in mail. Instead, apply for a Virtual DC through Yono app, where you can even choose between Visa, MasterCard or Rupay.

IDFC is not offering any zero balance account
