That's nothing. The real scam starts after you pay. Yatra/MMT/etc. will just wash their hands off your trip - you will be left to the mercy of the airlines/railways/hotels. And if the trip is cancelled, Yatra/MMT/etc. will eat a sizeable chunk of the amount citing T&Cs
These chor websites - yatra & mmt - increase their convenience fee if coupon is applied.. And this is after they already have industry highest convenience fee. Absolute scam, borderline fraud. So I've nearly boycotted these websites altogether since last couple of years. It's not like these are the only ones to have offers, other websites too have most of the times.
In last all these years since I've avoided these 2 sites, there has never been even one instance where I was not able to find flights cheaper than these 2 sites. So why to pay such nonsense exorbitant convenience fee.
In india, such things are commonly happening as consumer didn't take much efforts to fight. Flipkart cancelling orders by itself, charging customers for return. Such a nonsense happening cause we DONT TAKE EFFORTS TO FIGHT.
