Why we should not boycott Chinese products?

India and China is neighbouring country and both of them are expect to become economic power in coming decades. Chinese economy depends on manufacturing while Service Sector contributes much too Indian economy. Nowadays some people say that we Indian must boycott Chinese products and use India products so that Indian money remain in India and help in improving living standard of Indian and it will harm China’s economy who support Pakistan and creating problem in border area.

Sorry to say but if we boycott Chinese products it will harm our economy more. There are many reasons for that:

1) First China exports to India are only 2% of its total exports. Even if India stops importing products from china then it will cause no impact in its economy.

2) Chinese products are cheap and they are giving tough competition to Indian manufacturing. If we start boycott Chinese products then there will no competition in Indian market and Indian manufacturer will charge higher price.

3) Chinese Products are cheap, that is why poor people purchase Chinese products. In a country where millions of people are living in poverty, boycotting Chinese products can never be beneficial.

Conclusion: Instead of boycotting Chinese Products Indian must focus on becoming more competitive so that Indian Products can beat Chinese one. India must focus on becoming Industrial economy and produce goods at lower cost. Boycotting Chinese products is not the solution; instead, we must focus on becoming more competitive
