A CBI Judge has been allegedly killed and It has been 2 days since News broke out, But there is no coverage of this news by most of the mainstream media channels. Are we living in a democracy?
I will request users not to make it a political discussion, But discuss more on the nature of our democracy.

Media is not covering news of corruption allegations against CJI Deepak Misra. His actions makes you believe that the allegations are indeed true. BTW one of our Direct Tax Teacher used to tell us that there’s mass corruption in Judiciary. For Eg. the Famous Vodafone Case. You can have almost any case in your favour for a value!
i think they will not get TRP… Mostly Hindu-Muslim gives highest TRP, So they are deeply covering..
Did you know every minutes farmers dies because of poverty.. past few months jantar mantar farmer protest is going they even eat rat no response some farmer run in a naked in Delhi no response what else you need to prove himself still now no response….
@micke How much you know about Ravish Kumar? He highlighted it because it suited him. If I say, he is the same person who supported Congress MLA of our constituency in the murder case of my Journalist cousin, would you still say he reaches for truth? Only India TV was the one reporting misdeed of that cruel entity at that time and local news channels. He has been with NDTV since 1996, if I am not wrong. When my uncle called they said no to covering it and gave clean chit to MLA that time. As a senior journalist, my uncle called him personally and as he is bootlicker of Congress and don’t report or take interest in anti-Congress news items he denied and even abused my uncle by saying that we were trying to indict MLA in that case.
So before letting people know that how good work he is doing, you should be aware that he too like other hate mongers hate the current Govt and will cover almost everything that relates to this Govt or its allies. There is no proof that judge was killed. For him my cousin murder was a suicide till MLA got into jail. Even if judge was not killed this man will go breathless to make it one.
P.S- His brother is vice-president of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee. He was involved in sexual harassment case but this truth prevail-er never reported about it.
bhai yaha to sab bika hua hai
Every newz channel working for their masters
Because for one thing, they are afraid of getting Vyamped too. Another thing, Hindu-Muslim and Padmavati bullshit brings them more TRP.
@micke @ymind13 Don’t get me wrong. What I tried to highlight is we can’t swear by anyone in today’s world. Everyone in media and politics has his/her own propaganda. If BJP or corporate related to them like Adani, Ambani are getting undue advantage they will get back their Karma here on Earth.
As far as prices of electricity being high, you don’t go into factor that 85% people in Bihar don’t pay their electricity bills, 79% in UP, 60% in Haryana and data available on websites of power distribution companies. Why blame Adanis over theft by people? If you pay your bill honestly then just look at those who steal power all days. Once Reliance Power MD said, we can provide electricity at as low as Rs.2/unit to consumer if we start getting bills for 50% of what we generate. But people in India are thieves to core and then we are blamed for keeping prices high.
In Punjab/Haryana where I belong, I see my neighbors doing shit kind of things and almost 40% households here do direct connections or don’t pay bill and when recovery agents came to their doors they either get beaten up or threatened. If we are civilized doesn’t mean the people around are same too. We are not paying more because of these corporate but because of those so called common people who either can’t afford electricity or not willing to pay but want to use or I would say misuse electricity.
@ymind13 You are good only at judging people and call them Bhakt, Non-Bhakt, Chaatukars etc. I do not blame Govts because I know if someone is responsible for bad shape of a country it is people only. It is easy to blame Govt (either Cong or BJP or whatever you name) but what about people who are also thieves? Some thieves even justify their misdeeds of stealing or looting by saying when Govt is looting why don’t we too. Problem with India is people don’t dare to look within.
We can provide wheat for as low as Rs.5/kg but then there are people who came in between and eat our benefits and then Govt is blamed. Is it duty of Govt to have a check on crores of people everyday? What about honesty within. Do Manmohan Singh or Modi personally work for PDS? The problem is Govt trust people and then people do misdeeds.
Few months back- My cylinder delivery boy came and said, Govt gives 12 subsidized cylinders per year and you avail only 5 or 6. Why don’t you just book it every month and I will deliver to someone else and you will have subsidy benefit? I asked him why he want to make money by blacking cylinders in my name? He said, “Bhai chalta hai sab, Bahot log aise hi kartey hai” Trans: it is like that and many people doing the same. Who is this Cylinder boy? Did Govt put in his brain to cheat and tell people how to cheat? If I, for just sake of subsidy cheat my own Govt so is Govt responsible for bad thinking or deed which I will do? It is that easy for people like these to sell their honesty for Rs.50-100. From that day, I irk that delivery boy. I know he keep doing bad things and earn money even though he is getting paid a fix amount and also per cylinder delivered but that don’t fulfill his extra large expectations and he don’t find anything wrong in WRONG also. I told him, Never ever blame Govt again if you cant look within. I never cheated anyone of Re.1 in my life and ask other not to do. Even some of my relatives do cheap things one working in factory and also registered in Unemployed register and taking Rs. 3600/month from Govt. I asked him when he has job why Berojgari Bhatta? Again the same answer, terko kya laina bhai, tere ghar se le rahe hai. haha
This is one just example. I can put you hundreds where so called common people derive ways to cheat. Aadhaar form is free of cost and provided at center. But here the person who is employed by UIDAI on contract basis charges Rs. 10 from people who don’t know whether it is free or not. So is this the Govt or that person’s greed telling upon innocent people? When I told them it is free and you can’t charge, he said terko kya laina. apna kaam kar. So what I did was printed 1000 forms from my own printer and put that outside on my friend’s shop and put banner Aadhaar Form available for free to teach him a lesson. So,,, that common man who keep cursing Govt for everything don’t curse himself for being greedy.
If for a Rs.100 thing, 10 people taking it and only 5 paying for it while 5 other cheating for it, it will definitely start costing Rs.175-200 to five who are paying. Now these 5 payers need to blame Govt or those 5 cheaters and freebie eater?
I agree 100% with what you have written but my view is slightly different. I want the government to solve some of the problems and not to create more. There is monopoly in services which government department provides. I want to identify root problems and their solution
Electricity Example : Do you think people will be able to steal electricity from a private company?
Government employees will keep sleeping because they have monopoly. They have 9 to 5 jobs. They leave ofice at 3 pm and get minimum 2 holidays per week. They have pensions, health benefits, 3-4 times the salary than private individuals and no work pressure or targets. If we reform the bureaucracy setup and bring some competition, then these people will wake up. I am also from Punjab. People who don’t pay thier bills for 6-12 months, they pay 10K bribe and get their 1 lakh bill cleared. It is the sleeping bureaucracy that is the biggest problem.
When we got a government with absolute majority after so many years, many people like me falsely hoped that he may actually solve some of the root problems. Instead of attacking bureaucracy and bringing transparency in government affairs, they attacked normal people via demonetisation.
Let us take the example of cylinder boy : Problem is we don’t have laws governing minimum wage in this country. I am not exactly sure about salary of delivery boy, it would be around 10K. How can he run a family on 10K? Government is not providing any healthcare policy or pension. People will work honeslty only when some of their basic necessaties will be taken care. Until then it will be a dog eat dog world. Salaries of private or government employees get hiked by 10% on an average evert year, but how many of them hike the salary of their servants and maids by 10% ? It is the government job to define good laws and let people live with dignity. Everybody says that there are no thefts in Dubai. Money from Oil from whole world is going to Dubai. Everybody is self-sufficient there. There is not need for anybody to indulge in corruption there. Until over-population is there in India, there will be problems. Government is not addressing this basic issue. Cut down facilties, benefits and appeasement to families that have more than 3 or 4 kids.
8 out of 10 Businessmen would want to sell honestly without evading any taxes. But if their competition is selling articles at less price by evading tax, then every businessman will have to learn to evade tax to survive. Again it is the government machinery that causes problems – we have extremely corrupt sales tax and custom officers.
Government teachers get 3-4 times salary than private teachers. Why can’t the government set minumum performance standand for these teachers?
Government should be a hard task-master, Instead of that they are shielding their bureaucracts more and more.
Job of Media is to critcize the government but they are singing their praisies 24×7
This is what Raghuram Rajan said in today’s article
https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/elect...
“We need competition in government services. Why should you go to get a passport from one location? Why not empower any location in India to give you a passport. Wherever there are choke points where there is a monopoly deliverer of a service that you need immediately, you become subject to their tyranny”
1) Government employees should get some target and their salary should be based on that
2) There should be app where we can rate the services of a government servant, just like we rate sellers on ebay, Amazon. That will be my definition of Digital India.
It has been 70 years now, why can’t we set minimum education qualifications for MPs. Most goon mps will be wiped out, but I forget that our erstwhile HRD minister is unqualified as well
ab iska is case se kya connection hai?
ya yeh thread ab brave news reporting me jo bhi kuch aayega woh sab bayaan karega?
Indian Express has already given clean chit to honorable government in the OP issue,
