which processor is best fit in term of running heavy software like intellij and parallely chrome with multiple tabs
- Sort By
for single core load like browsing or a software that only use single core (adobe acrobat) 1235u will be better
for multi core load all r nearly equal but 7430u will give better battery life
@Jarvis.-. almost same price for all three processes which one should i go for longer life span and other requirements are already shared
@satraam2459 -- Among the three listed CPU's, I would suggest i5 1235u. Ryzen 7430u is 'almost' similar to 5500u. Comes with marginal improvements however lags behind Intel's i5 1235u.
Thankyou i was just confused between performance core and efficiency core, apart from 2 all 8 are efficiency core
Don't go for u-series processor in first place for performance go for h series they are suitable for you.
There are 3 types of processor
1. U-series: Undercore series for battery optimization and basic task.
2. P-series: Performance and effiicient it is combo of u and h series.
3. H-series: High performance series For games and heavy task.
Avoid U series and look for H series. For more information look at the suffix of H , U in the prosessor
Yes i agree but H processors are on slightly higher budget side

upgraded from i5 8250u to ryzen 7 5700u mostly because it was cheap(paid around 28k with exchange) and it's good tbh. My primary pc running a r7 5700x while other PC running i5 10400(macos sonoma) and a mini linux aio with i5 4590h. what matters is your use case. my aio can handle vscode with chrome but it's tend to go hotter than any pc and laptop i own, mainly due to being a small form factor pc.
I was just confused between single core and multi core as i5 1235u comes with PCI 4.0 and larger cache memory but it lags on only multi-core performance
recently my office laptop (i3) was replaced with a new ryzen5 laptop. I would say the performance is almost the same, but Ryzen is getting way too hot., whereas my old i3 was running at normal temps...
it is just my experience though..
