Front load: better wash
Top load: easy to use and durable. This is why the majority of the Indian households still use top load.
I've used both and I find top load very convenient to use.
In front load the clothes would be much cleaner in lower setting compared to top load since gravity helps in that case and should consume lesser energy and water so it's a big plus and would help in longer run.
The reason I found top load convenient is : Top load would still function if the lid is not closed fully whereas in front load the lid should lock before it starts washing so in top load you can add some clothes at later point during the cycle. Also if something goes wrong you can still get your clothes from top load since the lid lock is not there. I faced difficulty locking and unlocking front load lid in my IFB washing machine, it might not be the case for other brands.
Whichever you buy, never buy IFB. When it works, it works great but when it fails you'd face trouble finding the spare parts. The IFB circuit boards are not cheap if it malfunctions and you won't find any generic alternative. In LG or Samsung there's good chance you'll find generic parts which will be cheaper. You can confirm these things with any sales representative from croma/vijay sales since they would know better (even if you buy online ultimately, it's always a good idea to visit offline just for consultation for home appliances).
IFB Products are shit. Facing such issues in washing machine, microwave also getting errors many times.
Less water consumption, better washing quality, less drying time n more electricity consumption.
normally front load uses less water and energy efficient
Never buy IFB, it shakes a lot, creates lot of noise.. 22K front load washing machine stopped working after 6 months.
Installation guy will force you to buy stuff, but ignore him.
I am used to top loading and still using it, never tried front load. Top load is very convenient
Front load
Better wash quality - clener clothes
Very less 💧Water💦
How much less water
i find semi-automatic giving quality wash than my current LG front load , why?
1. Long durability of semi-automatic
2. Separate drier
3. we can add quantity of water based on clothes and accordingly detergent.
4. We can run short cycle (as low as 5mins) , long cycles ( as long as you want) etc, based on need and set timer accordingly
5. Water scarcity never bothers
6. collars and hand cuffs and corners don't get washed in automatic WMs.
7. With semi-automatic before wash cycle soak it for 1-2hrs takeout those that needs a brush and run wash cycle.
I used to wear clothes like person in RIN advertisement. Now after my power has been transferred after i setup my family, i ran with my whims for 5-6yrs and then got this LG front load, though not happy.
I still like semi-automatic for the time it severed more than 11-12yrs , still was ready to serve, but i denied by selling it.
so its a choice, i find LG front (at my place) and LG top load (at my parents place) quality of wash is same, though many stories go around.
edit:
only problem with semi-automatic is need to spend some time, and clothes get tangled
Here’s my entirely subjective view
Get Front load For best wash | Better cleaning |Energy/ Water /Detergent saving and lint free clothes after wash
Front loaders uses less water but at the same time give you a better wash, better stain removal, better fabric care and higher spin speeds.
The tumbling action does a better job with less water. They always beat out top loaders in stain removal tests. Not saying every single front loader will beat every single top loader. But in general, front loader wins across the board.
Front load spin dry is also better because of higher RPM ( top load usually have around 800RPM front load usually 1400 to 1600 RPM
Better spin means dryer will dry clothes faster.
They are easy to put clothes in and remove clothes. No heavy lifting, just drag unlike a little or more bending in Top load but at the same time might as well be difficult for old adults with front load to do sitting laundry
They take up less space. I say this not based on dimensions but because the top of the washer is empty surface to use while the top loader has no usable surface all around
If you have a front-load washer and matching dryer, the dryer can be stacked on top of the washer which is a huge space-saver.
New Gen X Front Load comes up with Turbo Dryer included in the same machine
Top loaders don't have a different release time for added liquids. By this I mean, you dump everything in the top load at once or have to come back during the cycle to add. So if you want to use something like fabric softener that's an issue.
Front loaders have a tray where you set what you want to use and then the machine dispenses them as needed (fabric softener goes at the end of the wash)
Also, small tiny extra but worth mentioning, because it has a glass front, it's great for people because you actually get to visualize the clothes inside and therefore are harder to be forgotten in the machine.
Also , thus , they cost more in comparison
Top Load Pros:
-Quicker Cycles
-Cheaper
-No chance of mold/mildew issues
Top Load Cons:
-Less efficient
-Not stackable
-Unloading issues for the vertically challenged among us
Front Load Pros:
-More efficient
-Potentially Stackable
-Easier Loading and Unloading
Front Load Cons:
-More expensive
-Longer cycle length
-Mold or mildew can form if you don’t leave the door open after cleaning (doesn’t have to be all the way, but there needs to be some air exchange)

If buying front load then only buy LG AI DDR whatever capacity.
Normal LG without AI model is very bad.
Just make sure the model is AI. there are a lot of differences in design and the locking and unlocking of the door.
I am using lg front load, super silent, consumes less water and cleans and dry properly but only cons are compared to top load is it is heavy and bit costly than top load.
Please link the product
Front load safai karya hai thik se? And surf wagaira ka cost kitna aata hai.. currently and till now used manual top load only.. one review from my relatives said it leave some surf in cloths
Front from top.
Front Load Powders are costlier compared to Top Load
Powders are different.. Didnt knew that
Top load because in front load you have to seat or bend for taking clothes or for inserting clothes everytime ..
Someone please recommend a durable but cheap washing machine
While reading comments that 'front load you have to bend, when compared to top load & that the spins are better/visible' - just don't forget it is about washing machines!
Yes its about washing machines but u also need to look at the convenience of the one who is washing.
Front & top loads are costly as compared to semi but semi is time consuming & also energy consuming of the person who is washing .
When compared top & front load , if u leave things in clothes , top load is best as u can remove it in between whereas in front load u need to wait till drain . But definitely u get cleaner clothes in front load without soaking & rubbing clothes with hands.
Used whirlpool top load & currently using bosch front load
Using the front load from LG 7kg, @ 23k in a deal in 2022, no issues, great service & washing, uses less water/eco friendly.
Just try to buy AMC for a stress free washing, for initial 2+3 years at least.
dont buy front load washing machine if you have kids upto 8 years in your house
there have been many incidincidents
better be safe than sorry
I personally prefer top load for its convinience
Just switched to lg front load...definately good wash compared to top load.....at last moment i choose lg over ifb..after considering reviews from relatives
