I too like amazing broccoli, it can be used more ways than cauliflower . - in salad - mixing in soup - with oats - sauted veggies - kababs - pulao - exotic veggies with baby corn , red capsicum etc. - Frankie - pizzas - pasta/ noodles 2, all depends on taste ! If u don't like, leave. Some people Dont like Mushrooms. 3. Anyway, godrej nature basket stocks it. 4. It could be available in south Delhi esp. Vasant vihar , or mega chain like easy day

Bigbasket stocks broccoli. Local subjiwala's starts selling it during winter months in delhi. I buy broccoli from either supermarkets or online. You can also buy lettuce from Bigbasket. here is the link : http://bigbasket.com/pd/10000061/fresho-broccol... Broccoli is my favorite ingredient in veg pasta.

try to add it in veg creamy pasta. You will like the taste. Moreover Broccoli should not be boiled much. Broccoli starts to loose texture and taste if you boil it for a long time. http://bigbasket.com/pd/40022432/chefs-basket-e... Chefs basket pasta tub is amazing value for 69 bucks. Tastes great. If you are non -vegetarian, throw in some grilled chicken as well.

+1 for BigBasket "@thrifty_indian":https://www.desidime.com/users/...14 Broccoli also tastes good stir-fried with rice/noodles (add a bit of soya and chilli sauce).

How does it taste? Something like Cauliflower? In Vegetables and Fruits, the only thing which I dislike is butter fruit juice. Almost everyone like it but I hated it the first time when I drank. Never drank again..:-|

Yes, you can think of Broccoli as green Cauliflower. It's a little more crunchier, richer in taste, and nutritionally better than Cauliflower. But both have the same side-effect. toungueout As for butter fruit (Avocado), I highly recommend you try some Guacamole recipes and you will become a fan.

yes it is. but then what are you getting at. Organic (as I understand it) to me means something without any artificial chemicals or traces. to others or for lab certification, it may mean something that has been grown on a farm that has seen at least three crop rotations without use of chemicals and then lab tests to find if any trace elements may have found or its free of them. but in present day, that too with something as 'phoren' as this, I dare say if the seed itself isn't high-breed already or GM (genetically modified) -------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------- and NCR walleh ho, so I guess there isn't a restriction of 'remote' area surprised you ought to sometime go towards Jor Baug area. It has the Farmer's market right? (it used to have the Delhi Organic Farmers Market, though i am pretty sure meant organic produce and not organic farmer http://in.blouinartinfo.com/news/story/907345/t... ) Or Khan Market area/ GK or INA market. But if you are sure about doing it all within the convenience of your home. Then go through the usual sites and suggestions as given by others. I merely suggested the physical visit option once a while, out of my memories of 1990s when I would tag along from Alwar just to see the market where 'bina beej wale tarbooj' [seedless watermelon] this was before any grofer bigbasket or localbaniya came on the scene and also before Goenka's Birla's Ambani's got into perishables retailing via chains. [have seen Brocolli or other so called 'exotic' veggies in the RPG chains like Foodworld] Reliance's bigger mart outlets at select locations to stock imported fruits or produce apart from the usual stuff

i am not recco'ing anyone but if you can once have a look at www.trunksandroots.com it might give you some idea of how an individual or small group start-up too can be serious about what they mean to do. and do it with dedication. if purchasing on-line; rather than just taking something at face value or 'brand' name of the site/ label on the produce.. go for some people who are actually having their 'heart' in it. Source: exposure to and involved in subsistence organic farming and vermiculture and compost making process and have been using natural processes for making ghee from butter-milk and honey wild areas which have orchids or flowers of a specific nature around it. (and later have used the ones sold in malls as organic ghee or honey. so know the real thing from well 'oh yeah')
