Whatsapp backup chat storage help

My WhatsApp backup is taking about 13 GB worth of space from the storage on my Google account. The default storage space for a Google account is 15 GB but WhatsApp has taken more than 80% of the space due to which My Google account giving a storage exceeded warning message all day.
Is there a way to reduce the WhatsApp backup size?

delete images, doc, music, voice chat files from chats

Delete documents, images, voice/music etc. As a whole chat doesn’t take much space but media files do. But again without video 13 GB!!!
