I was wondering if you guys have come up with any plans for the recently rolled out tariff hike ?
For me, I use two SIMs same is the case of my family members so the other number is already on a BSNL network and which got me thinking that I can recharge and try using data with BSNL SIM which cost only ₹139 for 28 days which provides me 1.5GB/day and unlimited calls. I have good enough coverage of 3G network where I reside the only problem I'll be facing is when I'm out and about and that too main concern is only UPI payment for that I'm willing to switch to primary SIM, for which all three major providers charge ₹199 for 2gb data with 28days validity.
Another option is that port secondary SIM to Jio-Phone, where minimum recharge is ₹26 and you can keep that SIM active i.e just incoming calls and SMS no outgoing services.
Those who have a WIFI connection available to them most of the time, can opt for quarterly or half yearly recharge with around 6 or 12 GB data i.e 2GB monthly data for the cost of ₹170/month.
These price hikes wont stop any sooner atleast the trend will continue. So these are few options anyone can use.

I guess most of people out there have opted for recharge in advance, I wonder what once this recharge runs out
Tier2&3 cities have option open for BSNL simcards/portin
Tier1 have no such option. Have to bear with cause no matter if it is noble or not.
Why tire I cities can't use BSNL network ?
wont be recharging for unlimited calls and data
will recharge normal packs and use WIFI
shifting to cash slowly.
Which app SS is this
??
I do 201 BSNL recharge for 90 days. Nothing can beat this. Now a days most of my calls are on whatsapp(WIFI).
For secondary sim, just for incoming needed. Presently in VI.
Should I port to jio and do once or twice a year monthly recharge or port to BSNL and do annual recharge. Only incoming needed. No data of outgoing needed
I'm not recharging as I'm Airtel retailer and getting free plan of unlimited calling+ 1.5gb/day
Earlier I don't but 2 month back, i got informed and after, no recharge in jio sim
Criteria to become an Airtel retailer?
Going out of budget now! Earlier used to have so many affordable options to choose from but forced to cope with this near to duopoly situation 'made by the government' to fulfill its personal pocket..only saviour is bsnl that doesn't have proper network at various locations plus there is no surety of how long it'll last (probably until jio/tel owner's wish)!!
Its not an occurce to go back to original/favourable state, this is a strategic plan implemented in succession, there's no turning back but just adapting to it with most economical options available
Can I port vi number to jio and use it on jiophone ? Or have to take new number with jiophone ?
If anyone is interested in buying a Jiophone in the second hand market I would suggest the F320B model as it has automatic call recording feature. Jiophone Prima also has auto call recording feature but we can't use Rs.26 plan on Jiophone Prima. But the Jiophone Prima has WiFi connectivity which the F320B model lacks.
Did advance recharge for two years on my JIO number.
Still not planned much as primary sim is having 9 month of advanced recharge.
Mother's sim having 3 months advanced recharge.
I have 2 jio sims both are primary .
Will recharge once in 6-9 months in other sim.
Whole family is having jio sim only.
