How much return do you normally get from a stock. It varies but if you invested in 20 stocks in a year what is the highest, lowest and average return you got for each stock?

Highest - Trent around 130% positive.
Lowest - IDFC bank around 25% decline.
Instant shot in the butt, though, was the recent drop of IndusInd by 35% in 2 months.
Likewise, for many it would be Tata Motors declining by 25%

This is what I was looking for so basically investing in stock is time consuming and similar to MF those that perform well can offset negative returns. Only thing you have to hold on to negative one's till they turn positive.
