I wanted to prepay my dues before the bill generation.

Is there a limit on how much we can prepay?

I notice an amount called Maximum Permissible Amount in SBI Unipay.

What is this and are there any rules to decide it?

Does it impact how much I can prepay? Will the transaction not settle beyond that amount?

Most likely, if you pay more than the permissible amount, SBI Cards will not accept it, causing it to get auto refund.

P.S: Confirm, whether your current outstanding is  ~ ₹92,077.37.

Unipay will only fetch due not outstanding. Since its SBI card may be it is showing outstanding as well.

Maximum permissible amount is 1L. So pay in multiple parts for bills bigger than 1L otherwise txn will fail

Don't pay more than total due amount. Even if it's in paise. Otherwise payment will not processed and you will get refund after some days.

And I think it's not only with unipay but with others apps with BBPS also.

My 2 payments refunded because I paid more than total due. And extra amount was in paise only.

example: Total bill was 5400.56 and I paid 5401

So always try to pay less than or equal to total dues.

If you want to pay extra then pay multiple times not in single payment.

just adding up a little: (not needed but might help for some)

after paying in SBI unipay , incase if one wants to feel satisfied with negative balance in credit card then pay Rs. 10 or whatever in CRED or NEFT or UPI to the same card, so that one can be satisfied that his credit card biill is over paid (for some people this might help)

Had same issue. On my sbi cashback card.. max permissible limit was showing 26k but since i had received cashback, the transaction was failing. When I changed the amount to outstanding amount (around 24k) it went through smoothly
