What is India's contribution to the world of shopping

Traditionally we only had Diwali, Dasara, Sankaranti, Christmas and New Years Sales. And we could assured we are getting some good deals.
Now sales are dime a dozen. Our public seems to have fallen for this corporate/western trap of buying useless crap for non occasions or imported holidays that have no bearing on us - Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Halloween Sales, Thanksgiving sales, Mothers day, fathers day, siblings day, friends day and this Chinese creation of Singles day.
Does India need to create a brand new day of shopping and internationalize it to establish our 'global image'?

Nice.
Though in the US there seems to be a reverse trend.
Delivery first and then someone else takes it and opens the boxes
