What is CURRENT AVAILABILITY in IRCTC, Please help

I wish to book irctc tickets
till now the status was AVAILABLE
but now it is CURR_AVAIL
Can anyone tell me the difference, also somewhere i read that curr-avail is only for senior citizens,
PS. Please also do help for best online offer for booking irctc tickets

+1, this is usually shown when extra coaches are added to the train. Ticket booked by you will have status CONFIRMED; coach and berth number however would be known only at the time of chart preparation. 
Current Availability is the availability and booking of tickets after preparation of final chart, which is done 3 hours to 12 hours before the departure (depending on actual time of departure). Earlier this was available only at the booking counter at the station and manual tickets were issued. Now, this has also been made available online. These tickets are non-refundable and no cancellation is possible.
