It's a major Payment Gateway, followed by RazorPay, CCAvenue, PayU, PayTM, CashFree, EaseBuzz, ZaakPay etc
Billdesk is backed by Visa card.
Visa takes minority stake in Billdesk, valuation hits $1.8 billion - https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/small-biz/...
Billdesk bigger than ccavenue?
BillDesk is an exclusively Indian product, developed in India and designed and marketed for an Indian environment.
All the transactions are made in Indian Rupees (INR) & the merchant will be settled in Indian Rupees (INR) directly from BillDesk. The merchant will require an Indian country bank account to receive settlement in INR
Billdesk's dominance in the payment gateway market in India is not due to a monopoly in the traditional sense but rather due to several factors that have contributed to its significant market share
1.) Billdesk was one of the early players in the Indian payment gateway space. It started operations in 2000, which gave it a head start compared to many competitors
2.) Over its years of operation, Billdesk has built a reputation for being a reliable and trusted payment gateway provider.
The platform's user-friendly interface, seamless integration options, and reliable performance make it a preferred choice for businesses seeking a trusted payment partner.
3.) Many banks and financial institutions have integrated with Billdesk, making it easier for merchants to accept payments from various sources, including credit/debit cards, net banking, UPI, etc.
4.) As more merchants and consumers use Billdesk, its network effect strengthens. Merchants are more likely to choose a payment gateway that is already widely accepted and recognized
5.) Compliance with regulatory requirements is crucial in the payment processing industry. Billdesk has demonstrated compliance and reliability, which is attractive to both merchants and financial institutions
FunFact - Prosus NV ( global investment group) PayU has canceled a $4.7 billion deal to buy Indian payments firm BillDesk after conditions on the deal were not met
The proposed acquisition would have seen PayU, the payments and fintech business of Prosus, become one of the leading online payment providers globally by total payment volume (TPV). The deal was aiming to create a digital payments giant with a total volume of $147 billion
🙊
Government gets GST on these payments, many others charge only the CC bill amount paid.
GST to tofee se condom sub pe milti hai, govt ko GST nahi milega to 1 second me block kar degi
Bbps and billdesk is different
BBPS ka bhi koi monopoly nahi hai. BBPS ek centralized bill payment system hai and UPI ka jaisa Interoperable hai bill payment system me.
Agar tumko apne app me bill payment offer karne hai toh tum direct BBPS k pas nahi jaoge.
Tum "Bharat Bill Payment Operating Units (BBPOUs)" k pas jaoge jo ki Billdesk bhi ho sakta hai ya PayU, EuroNet, BillAvenue (CcAvenue/Infibeam) ya banks khud he etc.
@demerius2020 Funny baat yeh hai ki Top 20 BBPOUs me Billdesk ka kahi bhi naam nahi hai - https://www.bharatbillpay.com/statistics/biller...
Yaha koi "PORT" karne ki facility available nhi hain.
Kya hi hoga monopoly ho ya multipoly [this word don't exist, I made it ]
Jisme cashback mile, uska gala dabake , payment kardo. 😀
-all Holes are different you know built for reason
PG aayen aur gayen , billdesk tha , hai aur rahega !!!!!!!!
Koi Shaq ????
Razorpay gateway hai kuch banks k sath tieup me but mostly saare banks billdesk se he apna credit card ka bill payment lete hai.
VU+ for the interesting topic:)
vu+ new and interesting topic
whatever may be the system, it may be bbps or mgbs, at the end I have to make full payment to credit card 😌
its like taking a carrot and saying i have to take anyway and i dont mind of whose
