A lesson for India to be cautious on siding with US, they are most unreliable ally one can have.
More of a strategic impact than of economic.
Afghanistan was seen as a route to Central Asia via Iran but with US sanctions on Iran and delay’s of Indian projects in Iran, lead by Chinese influence the economic plan got derailed long ago.
Maybe going ahead India should open talks with Taliban and mostly stay neutral.
By the way in Kabul, Russian and Chinese embassies didn’t evacuate.

it was clear that Afgan army was not interested in defending the country.
They left weapons, vehicles for Taliban inworking condition. there was no even small fight between Afgan army and Taliban.

I am feeling sorry for women of Afghanistan. A team of women soccer team had come to India. They were sooo well mannered. I had a chance to interact with couple of them. I can’t imagine them to be harmed / used as sex slaves/ forcefully married to some moron. 😔😔😔

Yes. Trump had a hard stand against Islamic terrorist groups… But it was he who initiated the US troop pull out from Afghanistan… and also had tried failed attempts at negotiation with Taliban. Because most Americans are against military presence in Afghanistan ( called it Endless War) Biden went with that same Idea… Coz popular opinion of the Masses…. And made a complete mess in the process.
When they replace one dumb-ass president politician with another ( of course less stupid than previous… but still a stupid no doubt) what else can you expect.

Its hard fought win for taliban and they don’t want to loose it by making silly mistake which there old leaders did.
So they don’t want to to seen as trouble makers in near future.
So as of now i don’t see any threat from taliban for india and world.
