What are we to believe anymore when it is so easy to spread false rumors?

BJP’s Social Media team in Kota, Rajasthan were addressed by BJP president Amit Shah where he told the volunteers how they can even spread false news with ease when their social media standing of Whatsapp was 32 lakh groups of users.
Here is the quote of his speech:
-“Hum jo chaahein woh sandesh janta tak pahuncha saktey hain, chaahe khatta ho ya meetha ho, sacha ho ya jhoota ho. Yeh kaam kar sakte hain, magar woh is liye ho paaya, hum 32 lakh WhatsApp ka ek group bana ke khade the. Tab jaakar yeh phelne ka kaam hua”
-Translation: We can spread any message we want, whether it is true false. We were able to do it because we have 32 lakh people on our WhatsApp group. This is how we make things go viral.
Today who knows how much more groups are active across various platforms how many people it could impact. We have already seen lynching cases due to rumors being spread across social media. Which other parties must be working on this to spread promotional and fake news by using the growing digitization phase of India
A Tip:
- Regardless of whoever sends you a forward, do not spread it without verifying it across on the internet and Twitter first.
- Need to educate people who we know to do this, to not just believe what they read but to confirm before they know it is true
- If you find parts of it correct, remove the parts you feel are false and then can consider sharing it and mention where you verified it (credible source)

To clarify, I am not blaming anyone, I posted what I have read and questioning how can we believe what we read.
A discussion is always welcomed on all topics, but do refrain from picking on anybody on or off the forum, calling them anti-national or Pakistani (deleted the Pakistani part, it is against rules to pick on anybody on the forum, left the anti-national part even though that is also ideally picking) based on their view, what do you get by doing that, responding to that is pointless. I would post the same of anybody’s statement I read, the point is to raise a discussion and hopefully correct.
