Warning: HDFC SmartBuy Voucher Issues

I purchased an HDFC SmartBuy voucher worth ₹5k (from trading section) and booked a flight for ₹5.2k Due to bad weather, the airline canceled the flight and refunded the full amount. On a call with customer care, I was informed that whether the airline cancels or the passenger cancels, the voucher will not be reactivated in either case.

So be cautious while buying this voucher.

File a case against them. Even if they mentioned, it's not right thing.

Smartbuy voucher converted from points are generally refunded on cancellation, talking from past experience of infinia points. Talking with their conceirge service should be helpful.

But unsure about how the dimer got the voucher, might be some promotional one time use.
