VPN Allows Criminals to Stay Anonymous
According to a report from MediaNama, the committee has asked the Ministry of Home Affairs to strengthen its ability on identifying users who are hiding with the help of VPN and are on the dark web.

Ultimately, the committee wants the government to block the use of VPNs in India with the help of a ‘coordination mechanism’ in collaboration with the international agencies. The committee wants the Home Ministry to join hands with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) for identifying all the VPNs available in India and blocking them completely with the help of internet service providers (ISPs).

It will be very tough to differentiate between China and India in the next few years.

So many speculations are going on when someone’s posts are going under approval. It happens when someone’s posts are going down because of wrong reasons and violations/warnings in the forum and when it exceeds or cross certain limits it happens and it goes fine depending on the good activity by the user and can worsen into a permanent ban too.

Hope this will help and keep everyone alert on what they are posting and what not to. Simple words – Dont test the limits. And we are trying to publish rules out in brief and whatever falls under violations will be removed and action would be taken against the user for a period or forever.

Dont deviate the threads with personal remarks and chit chats. You have been provided ur personal chat spaces for that or the chat thread in the forum

VPN is a very hard to block service.
some sophisticated VPN service traffic can be hidden behind https or even UDP traffic.
And with new dVPN standards it’s also practically impossible to distinguish if someone is connecting to a VPN node or some innocent server.
even with deep packet inspection this is nearly impossible.

So no VPN ban is coming.
Chill.
And even it comes there’ll always be plenty of workarounds to bypass that.

It is committee of mps and includes all party mps. They have given specific sectors to give recommendation. They submit reports on action they want government to take.
But it is up to government weather they accepts and acts on these recommendations.

Film companies are suing VPN providers

Dozens of film studios are jointly suing six VPN providers. You should not only be responsible for infringement of copyrights by your customers, but also prevent it by blocking the network. The plaintiffs also demand that the operators log everything and that they be taken offline. In addition, there is the desire for triple damages and punitive damages.

This emerges from a lawsuit that the film studios brought in updated form in the US Federal District Court for Eastern Virginia on August 24th. The plaintiffs include rights owners of films such as Bodyguard, Rambo V, Dallas Buyers Club and Hitman 2. The defendants include the VPN providers Surfshark, VPN Unlimited, Express VPN, VPN Consumer Network and also the German Zenguard GmbH (CyberGhost VPN) . heise online has contacted Zenguard for a comment.
