Yes, Indian citizens can get a visa on arrival to the United Arab Emirates (UAE):

Eligibility: Indian citizens with a valid passport for at least six months can get a 14-day single entry visa on arrival.

Cost: The visa costs USD 63.

Pre-approval: Emirates Airlines passengers can get pre-approved for a visa on arrival.

Extensions: You can extend your stay once for an additional 14 days for AED 250.

Maximum stay: The total duration of your stay, including extensions, cannot exceed 120 days within a year.

Other visa options for Indian citizens traveling to the UAE include:

eTourist Visa
This visa requires an online application and a fee of US $60. The decision on the eTV will be emailed to the applicant.

Business visa
This visa is valid for 30 days for single entry and 30 or 60 days for multiple entry.

Interesting to see how the same country treats two segments of Indian population so differently.

The affluent touristy kind is given VoA, while tens of thousands of "low-skilled" workers have their passports confiscated by employer, underpaid, overworked, have zero rights and treated like slaves in a foreign land. Sad.

Indian citizens

Indian citizens holding a normal passport and either

  • a visit visa issued by the USA or
  • a green card issued by the USA or
  • a residence visa issued by the UK or
  • a residence visa issued by the EU

can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 14 days provided that the visas or the green card is valid for at least six months from the date of arrival into the UAE.

From 7 January 2024, eligible Indian nationals with a normal passport valid for a minimum of six months can obtain a single entry, 14‑day visa on arrival. A fee of USD 63 applies.
