I donot have any plan on my VI sim.
But my friend told me keep some main balance 40-50 rs.
They automatically recharge using this.
Please anyone could explain.

If someone does not require incoming SMS on that number, then better not to keep even a paisa as main balance.
the connection is not terminated by operators for even 12 months plus, or at-least that jas been my observation and experience.
And VI anyway adds validity on its own.
(out of the blue they add a week of one GB data each. during this time, incoming calls, sms too work I think).
instead of keeping money and giving the operator the command of the ship
I prefer keeping the cintrol in my hands.
recharging with ₹98 is always an option.
and there are other operators giving 28 days plans for free, if one ports.
BSNL even gives the 45days FRC for free, but my guy charges ₹49 (actually ₹50) for porting into BSNL with the ₹249 recharge.
vi never disconnects non recharged no
and gives 7 days plan every month always so sim validity keeps increasing automatically
I think it is user-specific. Does it require to maintain any balance - if yes- how much of the balance gets deducted monthly?
RIP vi. No 5G, no stable network, no stable internet, while on call no internet. And many many problems for me. My friend is travelling for char dham yatra and no vi is there.
