Valid Documents for Passport

Apply for duplicate marksheet by paying nominal fee.

Contact your school where you studied 10th class.

They will guide you.

The purpose of your 10th certificate is to prove your birth place. / Native place 

All other details can be there in aadhaar. If you have a birth certificate keep it.

There is format for self  declaring birth place and the same is to be attested by

a notary public.

I have given that format many years back. But the current format  I see that

is for illiterate people. May be it should suffice even  now .

Use digilocker upload documents while filling passport application r else use 12th marksheet but they may give passport with ecnr required

Don't worry if your school shut down; just go to your state board and apply for a duplicate marksheet.

I received my passport recently and all I had to submit were two self-attested copies of PAN Card and Aadhar Card, no photo nothing and I didn't submit any copy of any marksheet.

If its cbse, download your result and give it a try, better to take the print on foto paper, laminate, lagna chye yahi orignl hai

And main thing is 10th marksheet is mandtry for passport, mine app. was kept on hold bcoz of 10th marksheet.

if u hold any Marklist above class 10th issued by Government or Universities, then it is fine. like 12th marklist, Degree or Post Graduate certificate.

10th marksheet is a mandatory document for the ECNR category. If you don't have a marksheet or higher school certificate then other documents can be submitted. Refer below link for the documents.
