Hey just was kidding  that's what I was telling  since that car tax post.....this pushes or incentivizes  people  to create  business  or give jobs rather than seek jobs

Salaried are always at bottom of TAX PYRAMID

It's a simple calculation  bro your slab rate + cess (if any) -rebate + consumption tax in form of gst depending on spend categories + LTCG+STCG it's made very simple under new tax regime .....

But one doesn't pay 30% tax on whole income....only part exceeding the 15 lakh will be taxed 30%.

If am not wrong ?

Plus there was a time when government used to tax approx 98% on income in Indira Gandhis time.

She might not be the best but the best among the available FMs.

That's true it comes around 18 -19 % including CESS on overall income for upto 50lakh Or somewhere around it but beyond that it again shoots up.... Reaching late 20s by 1cr ..... This numbers may be bit off because quoting out of memory..... And this is how people don't understand

Because 30% taxes are above 15 lakh income & even get certain benefits for doing so..... And yes that's subjective but generally is true
