First tell me what is soul?

Given how much we have been able to analyse the physical universe, it is just a massive jelly full of random particles vibrating and striking. Everything that we interprete of what exists - colours, objects, the distinction between objects, the categorisation of living and non living - the universe doesn't care for it. These are all interpretations of the human mind based on some inputs and triggers which can be always broken down to a physical reaction of particles.

Much like how we now also see computers interprete some data out of binary states (or lately quantum states). The data doesn't actually exist - it's an interpretation.

So this idea of soul is an interpretation as well. By us. The universe, the ruthless physics of it - doesn't care fot it.

The question of what happens to the soul after death is similar to asking what happens to all the data and it's interpretation when a hard disk goes kaput.
