Unable to receive What'sApp account verification code on BSNL SIM

Sorry Bro, I was actually thinking to suggest you few troubleshooting methods but then I saw BSNL and my thought process stopped immediately.

Internet failed us when it comes to BSNL. Nothing works, no matter what you try. Or something might work which is not even working for anyone else.

BSNL is The Ancient One, The Pro, The Legend. Only God can help you.

Whatsapp might be sending OTP on whatsapp of old device. 

Have (very very rarely) have such hiccups on other operators too,

but for BSNL.. sometimes even to check if incoming is coming , I call the number from an adjacent phone and it gives the tone tone sound of trying to locate the number.

Then, I often have try to connect to 1503 or something, from the BSNL SIM, so that the dayum network finally knows where the SIM is

and then, immediately afterwards.. on retryimg.. it connects.

Here, the issue is also with the interconnect operator's contract with BSNL.

For seven years, i kept pleading Amazon to fix its internal re-routing.

Even while calling 02230430101 ( +912230430101 ) .. its calls used to reroute to Amazon's then 1800 numbers.

And unfortunately, whoever was their internal routing vendor.. did not seem to have sone agreement with BSNL.

So even when connecting a toiled number and not 180030009009

Amazon's system rejected the call (which we place to 02230430101).

At some point even ECR people told that their internal teams have stopped responding to tickets.

Then once some other ECR person told, that unofficially he can tell me that Amazon is in the process of having a local vendor in India).

I think that Whatsapp or Yahoo too sometimes run into similar issues.

They do not have direct tie-ups in 200+ countries with all operators.

There is some vendor oe designated agencies who coordinate wirh all operators in specific countries.

Often theybrefuse to deal WITH BSNL or BANL refuses interconnect.

But even in such cases, at-least the SMS should land.

Last this happened to my family member.. i first had them register a normal account with some number 

and then in some online forum.. someone had given a method to use a modded app (like Gbwhatsapp) and copy the database files and certain other files from the previous device and somehow most direct chats (not the group chats) fot accessible.. despite it now being an account with some other number.

It was just too complicated.

I reckon you can have uncle's number (your father's BSNL) in some basic (2G only) device with no internet and keep trying.

Not anything wrong with Bsnl..its coz of whatsapp

Try Sending A SMS on your BSNL number from any other operator number. It works many times with BSNL. BSNL is shi*t after all.

Insert the sim in another fone, make a call and send a sms from that fone, now again insert in your fone, hope it will work, worked for me.

Whatsapp issue. Turn on and off aeroplane mode.

We had the same issue. 

Its took me 20 days with MI android phone and jio SIM. 

From my through analysis, whatsapp authentication method is changed. Now whats app is authenticated based on Immediate MISS CALL, when we select NEXT. 

OTP is always the second option for whatsapp now. 

Whatsapp might have sent a activation sms code but it should have never reached to mobile. And due to security issues, whatsapp now sents verification code only once. 

Try this

INstall google SMS app from playstore and make is as default app for sms messenger. 

Try to do the authentication again. dont be fast. give 5 sec gap for each click. If you notice the options to try receiving the code on call/sms, NOW TRY FOR SMS.

if you are lucky you will receive the SMS activation code message again. 

Have patience, it takes time.
