Unable to buy Amazon Pay Gift Card on GYFTR using Infinia credit card

Hello, Dimers!

Dussehra, Ayudha Pooja, and Durga Puja wishes to everyone!

A family member has HDFC Infinia Metal Credit Card. Today, when she tried to purchase Amazon Pay Gift Cards from GYFTR, she got this error, "Oops! Seems like you have already exhausted your calendar month limit of Amazon. Please visit on 01st of next month to buy more". BUT the problem is that she has not purchased any Amazon Pay Gift Cards or Amazon vouchers from GYFTR in the months of September or October. When she checked the history, last purchase was in the month of August! (screenshot attached)

Has any other dimer faced this issue? Any solution to this?

Alternatively, she has one add-on card in her spouse's name. So, can she purchase Amazon Pay Gift Cards from her spouse's GYFTR account using the aforementioned add-on credit card?

I'm tagging few experts: + @Seinfeld , @Theranos , @dexter_greycells , @Withrk , @pjain2712 , @Sudarshan61 , @karanoshan, @guest_999

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND INPUTS

always use single card single same account

Do not mix card and account. Your account get flagged and will not be able to purchase.

I don't think she has done that. She has not used her credit card on different smart buy accounts.

I faced similar issue in starting 1-2 days of October but then the portal let me buy on Oct 4.

did you raise any complaints or had you utilized the full 10k limit in September?

Either a technical glitch or the card was used in multiple accs (maybe from her spouse's acc).

I just checked with her, no such usage.

= @guest_999 I was just checking the Processing Fee for Amazon Pay Gift Cards, it is 3% + GST now. Has it always been 3% or has GYFTR increased it due to the Amazon Great Indian Festival?

It varies, sometimes it is 2.5% & sometimes it is 3%. I guess it depends on some sort of dynamic pricing model they have for amazon gv.

It's  been there since my post.....like few days back....and tgat may be temporary or permanent....no one knows but by the way it's going it's going to be permanent...Hopefully  not but again  it's upto bank...the down turn in cc and RBI regulations  + views have made ROI for banks unattractive  to give rewards....And HDFC does not make changes  arbitraly  unlike  axis or others....so given that I feel it's going to be permanent that's my personal view....and HDFC has increased  or made it difficult  to get infinia....so don't think they have pressure to roll it back

Never personally experienced this but I did get one of my Gyftr accounts locked after I mixed up the cards. An email to Gyftr resolved it.

Oh. What did you tell them to get it unlocked?

@dexter_greycells An unrelated question, do you know which is the best debit card or credit card for paying maintenence charges?

If the payment gateway accepts Amazon Pay, then buy Amazon Pay GV using Infinia and pay via Amazon pay.
