Tv bought in Flipkart few days back - suggestion required
My friend bought tv in Flipkart and it will.be delivered tomorrow (Wednesday ). As it is showing open box delivery

The delivery person will open the box in front of you > he/she will give you time to check for any external visible damage > after checking the device externally you will provide the code to the delivery person.
If installation is required, it will be done by the brand authorised person, not by the delivery person (this will be clearly mentioned in the order page or product page). Any internal problem(s) detected during installation, will be subject to deal with the service centre of the brand. It will be shown something like 'service centre replacement within 7 days' (Don't have personal experience).
Don't provide the code to the delivery person before complete check by any means. Take your time, don't listen to the delivery person if he/she says, 'hurry up, I've other deliveries to make'. Its your right to check the device properly with time.
Even if you received defective unit, you have to keep it.
Along with box .
And wait indefinite time for replacement.

P.S. No FK lovers are harmed , just mentioned what i observed. Return/replacement/refund is just a myth when you buy large appliance at e-seller.
Done replacement within 15 days after receiving damaged washing machine (externally damaged, even after OBD was done) on the last BBD sale. Its a bit troublesome and lengthy process for sure but if you went through the proper procedure with photo/video evidence, refund/replacement/return is doable.
Why did your friend buy such expensive item from fakekart? That itself is a wrong decision

In my case the box was sealed until installation guys came, it was written that the installation guys will open it.

I had recently ordered one recently from amazon, delivery guy said he will open the box and check for any physical damage / missing accessories, and if there is no physical damage / missing accessories, the delivery guy's job done. When the technician arrives for installation, if there is any issue with display etc, then you'll have to contact service center for replacement and not amazon. there's a high chance flipkart might have something similar.
they will open the box then u can check for physical damage, before this never share otp or u r doomed, installation is done by brand guys later on

3 things to be checked -
Item same as ordered.
Physical damage. External.
No missing accessory. (refer - in the box on flipkart product page).
Don't give otp without checking all 3.

Since Flipkart only marks the item as delivered when you give them the OTP, I hadn't provided it yet. The delivery guy said they would deliver a new TV, but instead, Flipkart cancelled the order and claimed that the customer cancelled it. My advice to you is to make sure you fully inspect the TV before giving the OTP. Have them take it out of the box and check for any scratches or marks because once you give the OTP, Flipkart won't be responsible for anything.
Dont be panic, 10% chances that we get faulty products. So everything will be good. Just vheck everything thoroughly and then share OTP.
