झील का किनारा और अजमेर का नज़ारा , हमारे दिल को लगता है बड़ा ही प्यारा ।

Like every new year, I go on a new trip, I chose "Ajmer-Pushkar" for this year's trip. The reason was clear - I wanted to take a trip that would bring something different and peace to my mind. This time, I took this trip with my mom and dad, making it a fun experience for me and a spiritual journey for them.

Day 1 -

We reached Ajmer in the morning, and had already booked our room. If you haven't, don't worry, you'll easily find numerous hotels and dharmashalas at affordable prices. After visiting the Ajmer Dargah in the afternoon, we headed out to explore the nearby markets. The market offers a vast array of food, drinks, and shopping options, where you can find everything you need.

For lunch, we chose Ajmer's famous "Mahadev ka Dhaba". We had heard a lot about this dhaba, and it didn't disappoint. One thing you should know about Rajasthan is that the food is not only delicious but also affordable, which gives Rajasthan a unique identity.

When in Rajasthan, how can you miss the iconic Gatte ki Sabzi? The mouth-watering dish won our hearts instantly, our stomach was full, but the soul wasn't...

Afternoon -

After satiating our hunger, we headed to the nearby "Ana Sagar Lake". The lake is a sight to behold, with a lush green garden to sit and relax, and the soothing lake in front with its gentle waves and chirping birds that calm the soul. It's as if life comes to a standstill for a few moments. We sat there for a while, taking in the beauty of nature.

We also got to know about the "Subhash Udhyan Park" nearby, so we headed there while we had time. This park is dedicated to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and his statue is also installed there. Within the park, there's also a beautiful temple of Lord Shiva, with a unique feature - a snake (representing the Naag around Shiva's neck) adorning the top part of the temple.

Evening -

As evening began to fall, we strolled back to our room near the Dargah, took some rest, and then headed out again for darshan at the Dargah. The sparkling lights in the night were mesmerizing, and the view inside the Dargah on this moonlit night was something else. And with this, our first day came to an end. The next day, we were set to leave for Pushkar.

Day 2 -

The next morning, we set off for Pushkar. We took a direct bus from the bus stand, which cost only ₹16 and took about an hour. As we arrived, I felt like I was experiencing the Pushkar Fair, which I had only seen on TV before. The atmosphere was electric, with people from all over the world singing, laughing, and heading for darshan.

We began by visiting the famous Brahma Temple in Pushkar. The narrow lanes of Pushkar led us to the temple, with houses on one side and sweet shops on the other. We indulged in Pushkar's famous "Mal Pua", which melted in our mouths like sugar. What's remarkable about this temple is that it's the only Brahma temple in all of India.

This trip was truly a blessing. I'd like to tell everyone that it's essential to explore our country and its rich culture while we still can. We should undertake such small trips according to our time, as they not only connect us to our country but also give us a sense of pride in our heritage. Try to take your parents along on such trips, so they can experience this feeling too.

Nice 🙌 I also have the Pushkar Brahma Temple on my bucket list. Isn't that Kirti stambha in pic 6? AFAIK that's situated at Chittorgarh Fort.
