Hi Dimers,
Need help in understanding the TDR process, as to what should have been done here.
The TDR was filed well before 3h of the actual departure of train . The train was more than 6 hours late.
Still the TDS status is EDR Repudiate. Is this OK? or any steps needs to be take

AFAIK the time is with actual departure time not scheduled departure

If you are holding a paper ticket issued from Railways Reservation / PRS (Passenger Reservation System) counter, including Confirmed Tatkal ticket, then get it cancelled across the PRS counter / Current Booking counter / Booking Office counter before actual departure of the train (which is running by more than 3 hours late from thebooked journey starting station as per your ticket and the late running is not reckoned at your Boarding Station, if these are different / you have opted for Boarding Point Change) to get Full Refunds without any deductionsacross the counter / on the spot.

Or in case of no facility of across the counter cancellation of PRS Counter Ticket — by physically surrendering PRS Counter Ticket & getting TDR and them by sending a claim to the Chief Commercial Manager (Claims) of the concerned Zonal Railway with the TDR Foil and other requisite details such as Bank Account, IFSC Code etc for direct credit of Refunds through NEFT.

In case of e-ticket issued by IRCTC including Confirmed Tatkal ticket, the same is to be done online by filing e-TDR. The condition of “before the actual departure of the train which is running late by more than 3 hours” remains. You will receive the refund of Full Amount of the ticket which is charged by Railways. However, there may be Bank / Payment Gateway (PG) Charges which get deducted by Bank / Service providers, hence may not be refunded by Bank / PG Service Providers

I think you need to file TDR within 2 hours for confirmed ticket, and an RAC E-Ticket must be filed within 3 hours.
