Just can’t understand, what’s happening to today’s youth/teen, doing all types of intoxication, no patience, short tempered, blind follower or Sheep, treating a human as God whose just an actor in acting profession… making them role model (instead of our Freedom Fighters, Soldiers, Scientist)
Over Hyped films like Kabir Singh (promoting Intoxication, Sex)
KGF (Violent, Immoral, Criminalization are made Blockbuster through massive publicity

The girl you mutually met is from here/desidime ??
Kabir singh & Arjun Reddy both are overhyped movies. Sometimes luck favours some movies. Infact the director is overrated. If all sex related scenes and sex jokes are removed, then movie would have been sure shot utter flop. Keeping all this aside, in both movies lead actors did a good job.
In case of KGF, I think movie was hit solely based on story telling.
Violence, Illegal activities, crimes etc are common in almost every Telugu, Kannada, Tamil movies. But not every movie could become such a massive pan India hit.
Yeah bro violence, illegal activities and crimes are always common in films that’s why we call it film and able to enjoy knowing it’s fictional but this for the first time Criminal is glorified till the end, shown him so powerful that to kill him government take charge and that also in majestic way using aircraft and missiles which probably not over yet there’s a possibility of chapter 3, till now if hero is criminal in the end film shows the consequences of his karma never justified, compulsion plays major role in his corrupt role or important purpose behind his crime like family revenge but in this movie mother push him to conquer the world, there’s a saying “wear your compulsion in style your compulsion will be followed” ….similarly all unethical evilness is glamourized which is unhealthy for country future.
So you are really saying that one can choose wrong path by watching a movie …If it’s the case then movie makers are not responsible for it ..it’s their own fault. Movies like joker are made and given oscar even though the movie was as depressing as it could be but i have never seen someone saying that they are depressed by watching it and if someone say so then they were already depressed even before watching it.
Don’t you really believe movie influence people? There were days when kissing scene in Raja Hindustani in rain was enough to bring sweat, also Urmila running scene in Rangeela Tanha Tanha both was labelled as Bold scene, abusive language is freely used in family films, nowadays parents feel afraid to play Youtube at front of family don’t know in which trailer or Trending video there could be offensive word don’t you find the change? but today it’s New Normal this thing is called Mind Programming slowly and steadily making society adaptable/Sheep
Movies are meant for entertainment (Not get influenced). Without commercialization and hyped sequences, it will be hard for any big budget film to end up as a box-office success (Many tried to be genuine and failed)
Haven't watched Kabir singh, so can't comment about it but for KGF (Part 1*) a lot of things worked apart from the usual crime backdrop. Strong villain, very good cinematography & BGM, multiple hero elevating scenes, mother sentiment and more importantly the rise of a no body to a leader of the pack (Something happened with Pushpa too). If i remember correctly, the <30 sec teaser for part 1 had only one sequence and it created huge impact (Excel/Farhan got impressed immensely and bought the film hindi rights and Rajamouli close aid Vaarahi got the Telugu rights). The hype created by Part 1 worked great for Part 2 (Even pre-bookings turned out to be great) and now it holds the day 1 record (surpassing Hrithik's War) and looks like its going to even cross RRR w.r.t life time collection (Hindi language*)
And a movie star/director fan doesn't need to be a blind follower/sheep always and it is the general public that makes any movie commercially successful while the blind sheep creates some sort of hype offline & online but i agree some get over-obsessed and gives up their rational thinking abilities (Probably there's nothing else for them to do in life) and support/defend everything their favorite actor does (+ abusive at times)
Star obsession will never go be it any film industry early days there was amitabh dharmendra vinod khanna sallu aamir srk as time changed that generation grew older and now we have new lot or breed of actors
you’ve only problem with movies, nothing else is influencing the youths?
And one more biggest problem is Mobile Phones.

It happened before, it’s happening now and it ll happen in future. Be it an actor, a freedom fighter, a soldier, a scientist etc nobody is immune from character flaw. And people often mask those character flaws and have weird sweet feelings about them. It’s very important to know that they were only human beings. A human being has some digested food matterial in the intestine, some urine in the bladder, some sweat on the skin. If one won’t take a bath then one would stink. If one won’t brush regularly then one’s mouth would smell bad. Those people aren’t any different. Take a look at what Ambedkar thought of M K Gandhi https://thewire.in/history/mahatma-gandhi-jayan... . I am a 90s kid. The name freedom fighter meant only Gandhi and Nehru. We read about Bagha Jatin, Baji Raut, Paika Bidroha ( we think that 1857 was first armed rebellion. It’s false. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paika_Reb...on It happened in 1817. Bakshi Jagabandhu deserves the same treatment received by Mangal Pandey. I will tell you what happened. Indian history has been falsified by Gandhians and liberals. India has not been kind to freedom fighters unless they had been perished during the struggle. We remember Bhagat, Rajguru and Sukhdev but forget about Batukeshwar Dutt. Batukeshwar died a poor man in free India. India didn’t treat her worthy sons kindly. At least our moronic leaders didn’t. Take what Chacha Nehru had to say on Bhagat Singh “Bhagat Singh did not become popular because of his act of terrorism but because he seemed to vindicate, for the moment, the honour of Lala Lajpat Rai, and through him of the nation.” Source: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhagat...gh A fellow freedom fighter is saying other’s activities as
When you feed lies to your own citizens e.g. non violence struggle is the reason for our freedom you potentially convert your own people to sheeps. Once the conversion has been completed there is no going back. Now people are trying hard to identify themselves with their role models. And they are looking at those people who are at least trying to do something about that problem.

You gotta take a look at our pop culture. Take an example of Sholay.
Our heroes are prisoners. And when they had bested the police we cheered. Yayyy. Our movies alway glorified the wrong thing. The underworld people always had some sort of sad cry baby past before turning bad. They were all ruined by the system and they wanted to do idealistic Robinhood stuff. We have come a long way since then. We have praised Dacoits, thieves, criminals etc. Now a days things have changed. In Kabir Singh, Kabir becomes an alcoholic but become successful professionally. He saves lives. His personal demons haunts him again. But he also faces those karmic accounts and his med licence gets revoked for 5 years. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kabir...gh Then be welcomes his pregnant ex girlfriend who is married off to another guy without her consent. It just resonates with contemporary youth’s sentiments. 🙂

Ted Bundy ll remain a terror as well as an enigmatic personality who was a highly intelligent individual.
On his last interview, he kept on blaming violent adult movies and books for his downspiral in life. In my opinion stimuli can be anything. But we individuals have a choice. Choices opted for either make it or break it. 🙂
@ OP, things have changed a lot. Its called generation gap. Its called liberalization thats been happening for centuries together.
Most of times we are influenced by west. Even in alam-ara era also storiès are copied from west. Even now it continues.
I am not very expert and not watched many movies, but chinese, korean, Japanese, Turkish films only copy technology in film making, but stories are core to their native. In india i see mollywood does this to some extent.
Most of govt. departments that are supposedly control all these drugs etc are happy with what they get in addition.
Most govts themselves are surviving by selling liquor. When things around a teenager are like this, what would you expect from them. Movies glorify break-up with liquor. Naturally it highs a teenager spirits.
Only thing, people concerned do is thank GOD and keep tab on their kids.
Nothing is going to happen to stop it.
edit:
If i dont put this, it will not sumup my opinion.
ours is confused democracy split across lines of everything and dont expect anything from people and govt.
It’s upto YOU which path you choose…
I don’t smoke nor drink neither m into drugs so
But now I sometimes get some hints from my female colleagues but it’s not so easy to decode JJ for all this
I am not objectifying anyone here but just highlighting one fact because I respect everyone those who know me well in my reel/real life know that too
