I’m planning an international trip to Thailand in November and would love to have dimers insights on the best ways to manage my spending while I’m there.

Also kindly suggest the best payment method, any specific cards that offer favorable exchange rates or low foreign transaction fees?

Are you planning for bangkok/pattaya or phuket krabi?
Whatever it is, it's better to carry THB for all your needs to negotiate for sightseeing activities {i recently had been to phuket/krabi so telling from my experience}

If you're going to phuket i'll share some more places which i visited...bangkok is mainly only for shopping/partying etc..prices are way cheaper there...you'll get 7/11 stores almost everywhere for all your cravings biggrin
Also, i had installed bolt app for cab rides which indeed saved me a lot of money too..

If you have any forex requirements i'll prefer https://www.orientexcha...in {their prices are really good} rest carry your forex card too....Happy Journey..if possible fly in A380 only..you'll love your journey biggrin

Use Gojek app for cab and online food with Indian number sign up . you will get huge discounts on 1st and 2nd ride, pay payment with cash only , then sign sign up again with Indian number of relatives and friends. THB, this way you can save a lot without compromising your luxury and comfort. And don't worry this app has in app calling feature so, no need to number to be present physically

1. Use public transport as much as you can. Its very cheap, for going from one city to another use public Buses, and for local sightseeing using Tuk tuks or BTS SkyTrain(Metro). Cabs charge a lot, however, in emergency you can use Grab taxi app.

2. I would suggest carrying Thai Baht(local currency) in cash from Bharat, rather than using cards there.

3. As soon as you land on airport, do not rush to take a SIM card. At airport, they charge high, come outside, take a bus to Bus stop, and look for 7Eleven Store(located at every 300 metres all over Thailand), you can find cheaper simcards.

4. Do not fall for "Boom boom" and live sex scams Pattaya walking street and stay away from ladies screaming "Massage Massage', because all of this will be costly and unsafe, instead to explore all this, come outside of walking street and you will find very good SPAs that are cheaper and good.

5. Take a scooty on rent in koh larn island ignoring other options

6. For sightseeings, you can use Klook app.
7. If you can manage luggage under 7 kgs, go for thai air asia flight.

I went 3 times to Bangkok and pattaya

After airport choose public transport costs 150THB To pattaya

For cheaper stays and foods

Stay at JOMTIEN BEACH AREA (2-3KMS FROM PATTAYA- WALKING STREET)

I STAYED AT ATLANTIS FOR 5 DAYS (BOOKED AT FLIPKART HOTEL APP USING SUPER COINS GOOD OFFER)

JOMTIEN AREA LOCATION

NEAR BY RESTAURANTS ARE MUCH CHEAPER THAN PATTAYA (MAX 60THB PER DISH)

IF YOU WANT TO GO TO PATTAYA WALKING STREET USE TOK TOK (LOCAL SHARE AUTO) 10THB FROM PATTAYA TO JOMTIEN AREA

IF U HAVE BUDGET STAY AT BELLA EXPRESS HOTEL PATTAYA (FREE BUFFET BREAKFAST, GOOD INDIAN DISHES)

BE AWARE MANY SCAMMERS, SPEND TIME FOR YOUTUBE VIDEO RESEARCHES

KEEP BAGS SAFE, BE AWARE ALWAYS, DO PRECAUTIONS ON LUGGAGES

FOR BOOM, NEVER TRUST BEACH GIRLS
