Get any core card that gives 2.5% reward rate for a particular category, tata rupay only gives 1.5% not worth it, so change to any core card FROM ANY BANK
disadvantage is you have to maintain MINIMUM 4 core credit cards from different banks though for 2.5% return
There are just 2-4 handful of good RuPay cards - Neu Infinity, Axis Kiwi, BOB Snapdeal & Jupiter CSB (if you can tolerate Jupiter and CSB Bank's douchebaggery)
RuPay cards are not valued by the banks themselves. Every RuPay CC is treated by banks as a lower variant or afterthought
- SBI has SimplySAVE on RuPay but SimplyCLICK and SBI Cashback which are better rewarding not on RuPay (yet)
- HDFC has 3 of its most rewarding ones on non-RuPay only - Millennia, Swiggy & Infinia
- ICICI APay and Sapphiro never launched on RuPay
- Axis Ace, Flipkart, Airtel, Magnus, Reserve, Atlas - no RuPay
- Kotak launched only Platinum variants on RuPay e.g. League, never Signature variants like Zen. Myntra is ok for RuPay CC UPI but issuance frozen for now
- IndusInd's Legend, Pinnacle and dozens of higher rewarding variants not on RuPay, their RuPay has 50% less reward rate (0.7% than Legend's 1.46% on weekends)
- RBL never launched any RuPay CC
- IDFC's RuPay virtual and physical cards are all paid, not a single CC LTF, non-RuPay ones are LTF!
- Yes Bank's physical RuPay cards give 0 rewards via UPI, virtual ones' reward rate is also pathetic. All the high end ones like Marquee, or mid-rangers (Select, Elite) only non-RuPay
So my general conclusion is banks don't value RuPay or make as much money from it as they make from Visa/Mastercard therefore rewards on RuPay cards also less, since CC UPI is without MDR for certain cases (For merchants with less than 20L turnover, there is no MDR for less than ₹2000 txns, so banks don't make money on it)
