I took delivery of my TVS Jupiter ZX 110cc on 15-Jan-2024 from TVS Pune.
The very next day, I encountered an issue with the bike that oil was leaking continuously and with every ride the oil was leaking from the engine. Despite visiting the service center on three separate occasions within the first week of ownership, the problem remains unresolved..

I was informed by the service center and showroom that the issue would be
resolved after the bike had run around 500 kilometers and after 1st servicing.
On last sunday 18 feb 2024, i did my servicing, they solved the issue on that day. But again from tuesday the issue is still there.
I have already complained to tVs team regarding this and they raised a ticket for this.
I Had already ask for replacement but they did not agree.

It's not easy to get replacement as lemon's law doesn't apply here in Bharat.

They will keep insisting on repairs only.

For compensation they might give you engine replacement with extended warranty 3-5yrs along with 3-5yrs maintenance package.

Suggestion would be keep every communication, service centre visits job card, invoices etc. documented in order. You might have to use them incase of any legal hearings.

When you report a problem on a brand new motorcycle, whenever the dealer says that the problem you are facing is going to go away automatically (by magic) after the first service or after running for 500 km, the meaning is that you are most likely going to be stuck with that faulty motorcycle forever.

I often see this on YouTube: people spending several lakhs on premium motorcycles. They notice a fault the next day and ride back to the dealer to report it, and they get the same reply. "Wait till the first service or x kilometers.". The motorcycle owner rides back home with their tails between their legs. Most people nowadays do not know how to hustle for their rights. Dealers are "experienced oldies" who know that most of their customers are just cowards who don't know how to stand their ground.

Getting the engine replaced on a registered vehicle or replacing a faulty part on a brand new motorcycle which is under warranty is a lot of paper work and the dealers do not like to go through all that hard work.

By the time a new motorcycle runs 500 kilometers, it is no longer a new vehicle. It is like a broken tooth; you live around with it for x amount of time and get used to it.

Get some anabond adhesive and glue the hole out; that's the best you can do.

If dealer and Company is not helping than why don't to send a properly drafted notice with help of any Lawyer friend. Chances of replacement or proper repair will increase. If even after spending one lakh why should you drive faulty vehicle that may be dangerous or life threatening  (god forbid) you should take action quickly.

you have two choices either convince dealership to replace it or repair yourself. you can file fir for fraudulently selling you defective vehicle, complain on social media, tag company heads , post video of oil leaking with payment receipt, especially on brands pinned threads on twitter, Google maps, just try to garner as much as negative reactions as possible, send emails, sit in dealership office, refuse to leave until they replace the vehicle or repair the vehicle infront of u.

read recent reviews of tvs service centres on Google maps, take it good one in your city

or you could try third party, show to some good  mechanic. there are few on YouTube, but most of them are from Delhi (nrv brothers), North East ,Kolkata like places (ulfat ansari bs6). i assume the oil leaking problem could be from cylinder packing, or crank shaft rubber seal. did u atleast see is it from transmission side or engine or just oil filter at bottom is loose? inspect it is your vehicle. but in any event you shouldn't have driven without oil, you probably rubbed piston against the cylinder wall. the damage is permanent now. i think you're looking somewhere around 6 -10k in repair if u want to replace everything brand new.

During delivery of my TVS bike, while the technician was installing the accesories and all i observed that there was some oil leakage from bike and i didn't know where it is exactly coming from. i also observed this happening when i test drove it few days before.

when i asked showroom owner why the brand new bike is having trouble like this.. he answered me the same thing which they told you. I was convinced at first but my gut feeling did not want me take any chances after all the YouTube videos I came across regarding showroom scams. So told them i won't buy a broken piece and i insisted them to deliver me another bike. they argued for a bit but at last delivered me another piece and re-done the paper work.

in my case it was only one day but since yours is already completed first service (i guess you must have got your RTA& Insurance things completed) would suggest you to go/fight for engine replacement because i think it is too late for whole bike replacement.

Update: yesterday i went again and escalated to highest level in region. Today they are sending the company technician to look into as showroom service technician is not able to solve the problem.  Let see what will happen today

Maybe your missus (or you, from her address) can draft a heartfelt communication to and/or other senior and top management within the group.

Experience

  • TVSSenior Vice President - Service at TVS Motor Company

    Jun 2012 - Present 11 yrs 9 mos

  • Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

  • Maruti Maruti Suzuki India Limited

  • Mister Bhat surely seems like he has been heading major service function at top national/international auto makers.

If can reach out to them directly on ☎️boardline📞 or other ways, then even better.

Especially if the vehicle 👩🏻owner herself🧑🏻 gives the emotional pitch about how much it meant to pay for something like this, in the hopes of getting long service without failure.

Can add a bit of 'masala' or narrative like many in the area even told us to go to Wakdewadi/Akurdi (any name far away from this dealership).. because they faced issues with ____ (dealer name, locality) and that even the current/ex employees of THE DEALER NAME too spoke of malpractices like how they use the same units for demonstrations, test rides or even sell new vehicle with replaced parts, previously repaired spares.

Also drafting a physical letter (on paper) and individually sending to each of the head honchos at TVS Group ought to help too.

Again, better if she paid for the vehicle and show that 'look, the cheque I drew on so and so date' got encashed and I am a person who values every paise and spent it on your product after weighing in so many other options (from your competitors).

𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮: Buyer's remorse though normal, is nothing but an avoidable hurdle right now.

Everything is done and dusted, purchase has already been made. She wanted this bike and she got it.

It is a fairly value for money and comparatively better option to the other name/s mentioned above, by others.

Unless it is the Poona of 1990s, where 'Kintetic Honda' or.(as it was fondly referred to) Kainee ruled the streets (with majority lady drivers).. ... .. unless it is THAT Pune.. TVS Jupiter is just fine.

Surprisingly, oil did not leaked infront of TVS technician. And also never from that day. He rode the bike for almost 10-12 kms and also observed for next 1 hr but no oil leakage. Dont know what happened overnight or its the effect of the service technician which he did on Saturday.
He also called next 2 days continuously to follow up on oil leakage.
Hopefully oil will not leak in future.
For now, the issue has been fixed 'jadooo'
My wife jokingly said, bike dar gyi leakage ka Tvs technician dekhke smile
