Hello Dimers,
Here are the new rules for posting deals. Please take a moment to go through them and share your feedback before Sunday.
If you’d like to check the current rules, they’re available too.
Deal Merging Guidelines
1. 5-Day Rule for Merging Deals
2. Handling Expired Deals in Threads
-
Scenario 1: Deal Revives Within 5 Days:
-
Scenario 2: Deal Revives After 5 Days:
Please avoid commenting on original thread. Instead, Kindly create a new topic to ensure proper credit distribution.
If you Commented on 5 days old thread that thread can be Revived but you will loose the Credits
Creating a new thread after 5 days will not be considered as repost, however few restrictions applies (check below)
Creating a new thread after (if it came at the same price with the different offers [bank offers, coupons and so on if any]) will not be considered as repost.
3. Reposts and Merging Rules
-
Same Deal Posted Within 5 Days:
Admins have the right to merge duplicate deals to avoid unnecessary spamming.
If the price drops slightly, it is better to comment on the original thread.
Admins will distribute credits to deserving contributors.
If Price is Same after All Offers (Bank Offers, Coupons & So on if any), it will be considered as repost.
Notes:
1. Default Bank Offers (such as 5% as cashback with Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card on Amazon, 5% cashback with Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card on Flipkart and more) if came solely will not considered for price drops and above rule will apply.
2. We Suggest you to comment on the original thread only if there is only slight drop in price. (Leaving this to our Dimers' Consciousness as making rules on this will be quite difficult). However, Admins/Mods may exercise merger of threads in such cases upon their discretion if unnecessary and spamming done by posters repeatedly superseding the above rules.
In specified expiry date deals if Terms & Conditions changes then only it will not be merged. If only end date is changed/extended; in such cases, it'll be merged with the original thread.
Same price (up to 30 days).. admin can merge with 1st thread according to their discretion if it has no out of stock, expired comments.
4. Reposting Deals After 5 Days
-
After 5 Days:
If a deal is posted with the same price after 5 days, it will be treated as a repost. (If the past deal has expired or user has commented oos or expired and that deal is back again then creating new topic is allowed)
For deals that remain at the same price for long period (e.g., 15 days to 1 months), avoid creating multiple threads. And those deals which have long expired date like 2 or 6 months and users has already added end date that type of deals if again posted will be considered as repost.
5. Product Price Drops
-
If a Product Price Drops:
You can create a new topic to highlight the price drop.
Alternatively, comment on the existing thread if it is within the 5-day window.
By following these guidelines, you can help maintain an organized and spam-free forum while ensuring fair credit distribution.
Upcoming Deals
Guidelines for Posting Upcoming Sales and Launches
1. For Banner Deal Sale/Offer Details:
Name of the sale or event (e.g., Big Billion Days, Amazon Great Indian Festival).
Date and time of the sale (start date)
Bank Offers
Mention the source of the details (official website, social media announcements, etc.).
In cases of either no dates or no official banner, it'll shift to other sections (DnD)/deleted
In case of change in dates, kindly mention it in original thread only.
2. For Product Launch Details Required :
Product Name
Product Link or Url from respective Store/Platform
Product Price After All discounts (Coupon if any + Bank Offers)
Date of Sale
Any Unique features or specifications (e.g., for gadgets, include RAM, storage, etc.).
Note: in case of only launch date and not sale date, price it'll moved to other sections (DnD). We will share credit with launch thread as well but thread with full details will be considered as main topic
Note: Deals with proper details will remain as main threads. Incomplete deals will be moved to the "Dost & Dimes" section. If the sale date changes (e.g., from August 5th to 4th or 7th), users can update it to the original thread. Credit will be given for the updated date to that user and just for dates no new thread is required. If the offer changes completely, a separate thread can be created.
Extended Deals
-
Posting in Extended Deals:
If a deal's validity is extended, users should comment in the original thread rather than creating a new one. Creating a new thread for an extended deal will be considered a repost.
But if extended offer Terms & condition has changed or reward link is changed then creating a new thread will not be considered as repost but users should add proper TNC for the same
Multiple Product Link & Single Product Link
Handling Multiple Product Links: If a user posts a deal with multiple links and provides 5 suggestions from those links, and another user posts the same products from original poster suggestions then second poster deal will be merged. However, if the user does not provide suggestions and only includes multiple links, and another user posts a single product deal, the deals will not be merged.
Note: When adding multiple thread links, please limit the suggestions to a maximum of 5-6, not more.
Pin Code Specific Deals
Kindly mention at least one working pincode where product is available at that price.
You may create a thread if you find a better price at a different location, however we appreciate it more if you comment in the original thread if the credit period is not over ( i.e within 5 days) We'll share credits accordingly.
If a user posts a deal from Mumbai at ₹50, and the same deal is available at a higher price in Delhi (e.g., ₹52, ₹55, ₹60 etc), it should be added to the same thread. Do not create a new topic unnecessarily. However, if the deal in Delhi is available at a lower price (e.g., ₹44, ₹45), a separate thread can be created, and it will not be merged.
Posting deals with different pin codes and prices in the same thread is highly appreciated, as it helps visitors avoid searching for different locations in different threads.
This rule applies to all deals. If two or more users share deals within a 10-second gap and include complete details, dimes credit will be given to both users after checking logs. Both deals will be merged regardless of the time difference. Please note that both threads must include all relevant details, including any terms and conditions, to qualify for credit.
These rules are created to make it easier for both Dimers and admins to manage the forum. Since the forum is large, it can be challenging to maintain and enforce all the rules. However, by establishing clear guidelines for common scenarios, it will be easier for both users and admins to post deals. Admins and moderators will follow these rules to ensure fairness and maintain a clean forum, aiming to showcase the best and lowest deals on our platform.
Even You Post Rules, Is Your Team Competent Enough to Invoke Those ! That is Point to Ponder because Top Senior Users Don't Think You Did Justice with Current Ones

Dost and Dimes is Not For Your Mouthpiece.
So talking about competency and judging wont be right i feel. Every thread has alert admin feature, if its not getting solved then there are always other admins which are there to help n solve.
So lets try to solve together.
One point which i feel we should add
1. Seller Rating should be 50% +ve & minimum 100 users rating (will help us eliminate new seller deals which mostly gets cancelled/wrong item sent/delayed shipping, etc)
for example
Some products are listed as inflated MRP & followed by huge discount.
A few users post these things as loot deals.
It would be nice if Everyone posts the regular/actual price instead of inflated one.
What's your take to handle it?
