Will helpful for many people in near future. Now a days reviews are becoming paid and manipulative so can't decide with reviews available on shopping sites in future.

jo ICUs mein.. Philips ityaadi ki aati hein.. veh tou phir bhi theek thak hein.
Baaki sab, sirf ek dhakosla hein. (Rest all are sham).

Kintu veh tou 7-8 hazaar ki aayegi.

This is not even a real test actually.
These chotu devices merely send various wavelengths of light.
They have been trained/programmed that if N% refracts and Y% comes back.. then it means that hopefully there is this much percent iron, this much percent 'so and so' gas density in the blood.

But just like radar signals can be bluffed or can give false positives, false negatives

the readings from these devices too are just an assumption (that okay.. maybe this much reflection and this much refraction is equal to this much saturation of oxygen.)

also, there are major calibration issues too at times, even in the out of box product.

For non critical use and as a rough guidance, it is okay.

During peak Covid-19 era, we even took 3 or 4 units of the same brands and regularly tested them simultaneously on multiple fingers.
All four would give slightly different readings!

Tried the ones from the brand mentioned by JackyDen above. Besides local/desi brands (which also sells blood glucose monitors and other diagnostic equipments).
None of them can ever be relied upon in a life or death kind of patient.
Also, all are rebadged Chinese generics.

I am not a brand ambassador of or an investor in Philips. Just clarifying.

Market is flooded with so many different brands (all from China anyhow). You can't possibly know good from bad. So i just applied some common sense and got choicemmed. Because that's what most doctors have in their pvt chambers. Next is probably BPL.

I'll suggest Beurer > Rossmax > Omron > ChoiceMMed.

These maybe China made but they're very good quality. Moreover, these are not general electronic companies, these specialize only in medical devices, and I'd prefer such a brand for personal/home usage under budget 3500. Most ones available on Amazon India and Flipkart are cheap Chinese imports (no offence to anyone) just with their brand thappa.

I'm personally using ChoiceMMed MD300C63 (since 2014), and Rossmax SB200 (since 2020), both working perfectly fine till date.

But I'll suggest you one thing - Before buying, try to find & read the device specification for error margin. Lower the better.
