.Given your tight schedule, I've created a suggested 1-day itinerary for you. Since you won't be availing any hotel, I recommend depositing your luggage at the Rameshwaram Railway Station's cloakroom facility. This way, you can explore the town without worrying about your bags.

.
.1-Day Itinerary:

.- 5:00 AM: Arrive at Rameshwaram and deposit luggage at the railway station's cloakroom.

.
.- 5:30 AM: Visit the Ramanathaswamy Temple for a peaceful darshan experience. Don't forget to take a holy bath at the Agnitheertham.

- 7:00 AM: Head to Dhanushkodi Beach for a serene sunrise experience.

- 9:00 AM: Visit the Pamban Bridge and take in the breathtaking views.

- 11:00 AM: Explore the Former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam House Museum.

- 1:00 PM: Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant. Try some delicious South Indian cuisine!

- 2:30 PM: Visit the Ram Setu (Adam's Bridge) and enjoy the scenic views.

- 5:00 PM: Head back to the railway station, co

The suggested schedule seems feasible  .

But the rituals at Temple includes a bath in sea water  and you may

need a bath afterwards

Hotel TTDC (TN tourism ) is nearby and I think it is economical.

There is a good but economical restaurant as well there.

further please note  that the temple city of Madurai is just 170 km away
