Why dont you try pure shikakai powder for a few months. Shikakai can often leave your hair a bit rough and it is coupled with Arappu powder (botanical name is Albizia amara). That serves as a natural conditioner even in hard water. They can be bought from any traditional items or ayurvedic shop or even some supermarkets. I've also heard of Reetha powder but have not tried it.
Or you can buy something like Meera shampoo which has a few other things like amla and hibiscus mixed in. Amazon/FK will also have a lot of alternatives (often overpriced) that you can check out.
I have been using only these pure natural products for over a decade and have not faced any hair fall issue. Same for my senior citizen parents.

Keto-z shaampoo. Good dandruff remover, use twice or thrice in a week.
Keto-Z is not at all recommended bro, consult a physician or a dermatologist before going for keto-z shampoos as they will make your scalp very acidic leading to 10x more hairfall.
The best way to prevent hairfall is to get a haircut done in 15 days - 20 days and use any shampoo which is less rough for your scalp. Go for dove or loreal shampoo

The person clearly said 'elderly people' in the first few lines itself.. and you are saying such things.
I too have lots of real/ assumed gyaan to give on a zillion things, but I did not continue reading even a word after seeing 'elderly people'.
Was not looking forward to comment either, but your post struck out like a soar thumb.
We have various people around us.. some who got home made ghee and fresh food in all their growing up years, even had cattle or goats so unadulterated milk and some even had farms/bageecha of fruits, vegetables..
and on the other hand there are others who grew up in humble backgrounds with daily gourd (lauki) or pumpkin diet only.
Then there are lifestyle choices too and DNA / genetic variations.
Testestrone too is something that is pre-programmed or now-a-days added with fake additions/ supplements.
So for elderly it is already 50-60 years late to now advice and i opted to not suggest anything. Certainly not suggest that they go bald.
