Most of the stocks give decent returns, imp thing is proper entry and exit.
I would suggest if you don't have time for research, but mutual funds and expect 10-15% annual returns for the long term without much stress.
Buying Large-cap stocks for any terms is a waste of time.
If you have time then only research for small cap, microcap, and midcap, buy and book profit.
Go for the long term if you have more than 50L capital.
MF : Index fund
MF : Midcap
MF : Flexicap
For very short term if you have extra money and need any time then buy liquid funds ( You can get it easily by selling units anytime)

Why do you think AC stocks should do well? Voltas, Blue Star, Johnson Controls none of them have profit growth/sales/cash flow to justify the stock price. It's pure hype.
