My laptop is 11 yrs old and yesterday it's battery stopped working ( I used to get 5 min. Power backup.)
So laptop shutdown as soon as power goes. I think this can hurt my laptop and possible motherboard damage
So asking for a cheap ups suggestion. I just want 5-20 min. Battery backup. So that I can close my laptop.

better get the replacement battery.
would be cost ineffective, even if an original or close to original one is found.
(As in, the resale value of the device would still remain the same, even if battery is replaced.)
I was using v-guard ups bought for Rs 2200 for last 3 yrs and it's battery was discharged an yr ago.
Thought of throwing it out and buying new one but instead got it's battery replaced for Rs 1100 from exide (this include 200 battery exchange cost).
Totally worth it !!
Happy to know that your laptop works even after 11 years of on and off use.
Wish I knew which one, to have taken it.
No, if the survivor has not failed till now despite poor quality of power, it would not fail now, just because of sudden shutdown.
At-most the data storage (SSD, HDD) device might have errors.
just for this one thing, investing in a UPS is not worth it, i think.
not much aware of local names except V-guard, Microtek.. but i personally stick to APC for UPS.
if therevwas requirement and if my budget permitted,
i would have put one fusebox/ one line on inverter back-up. (Purchased power back-up inverter.)
I was thinking same, it's not worth investing 2k+ for my laptop. But I have emotional attachment with laptop and do not wanna loose it.
Will try to fix the dead battery by opening it and by replacing cells and all.
Check this one https://www.amazon.in/ZEBRONICS-Microcontroller...
I would suggest visit local computer stores for cheaper option
