I am thinking to add Asian Paints to my portfolio in VERY SMALL QUANTITES, (probably 1 or 2 approx) to check the waters
So whats your opinion around it?
anyone wanna discuss
1) why not in Asian Paints?
and
2) why one should in Asian Paints?

hmm personally i didnt seen any good customer service around aditya brilla brand usually, are you sure this Birla opus is capturing market good?
Ask admins/mods to uplift the limit imposed on my account without any well known reason.
Why not in Asian Paints
- sitting on 12% loss, it doesn't makes sense to invest more. Simple.
The market is now competitive. Distribution is no more the USP.
mhm USP is dead ah:) but quality is there as far as i can know, so have to see how these other paint companies compete on quality in coming years
It's a good share but I have taken it during covid and most of the time it goes in negative so average down at below level. It goes up and comes down usually

mhm just thinking this way -> when everyone is scared of things, we have to look the potential inside it:) so hence looking into it
Don't catch the falling knife ... I don't know about value side but from last 3 years see the return ...and compare the with simple nifty ... You will know it urself ... Avoid ..
Reasons to add it more ? Any triggers ? Growth rate is in single digits yoy.
so Birla Opus is the cause ah? but i rarely see advt of this Birla Opus in TV channels hmmm
I will be adding now and then. While I don't read annual reports and hence am not sure about the revenue generated from them, I see that they are diversifying well - tools, bathroom fittings etc. They should drive in decent revenues in the years to come?
