Now a days, demand of packaged foods & beverages in the market is increasing drastically.

A significant part of Indian population is consuming packaged foods & beverages daily.

Most companies are using deceptive tricks to lure customers and make them believe that they are consuming healthy food items.

Most items have unhealthy palm oil, refined wheat flour (maida), high sugar content.

Read the nutritional label carefully.

'no added sugar' is a convenient 'fraud' at times.

it simply means that THEY did not separately add sugar.

But often the brands and their vendor's packing plants source ingredients/ raw materials which already contain refined sugar.

Rest of the things, no amount of disclaimers or awareness posts really matter.
No one really cares or have given up.

In China, for over two years at-least.. same tanker trucks alternatingly carried fuel like petrol, diesel and then the same tankers would carry cooking oil.
Obviously the truckers or oil suppliers would not bother to clean after each cycle.

Anyone reasonably aware or watching news or following social media was/is aware why Nestle Maggi, Mondelēz Cadbury, Patanjali Food items, MDH/ Everest items got penalised.
Today though.. are their sales really dented?

White onions grown almost exclusively for export (especially to Europe) automatically have really low residual pesticides, fertilizers.

Whereas when even the Saudis rejected our green chillies consignment.. due to tests revealing 3-4 times the permitted levels of poisons..

our governments were like.. okay fine.. let us recall the cargo all the way back to Nhava.. and sell it via APMC, Vashi.

Likewise for how the ISI nark and FSSAI are a (cruel) joke (on us consumers).
If it were not so, then could Droom website have been repeatedly selling cheapest quality acrylic/plastic caps, by labelling them as 'helmets'?

Their favourite is palm oil,, corn starch, sugar, artificial sweetener. All bad for health.

I try to avoid most times anyway. But other issue as already pointed is poisoning of our food with pesticides. Milk is adulterated.
