Started getting BSNL 4G signal

So BSNL seems to have implemented 4G signal in my town. I was casually doing a speedtest like I always do and was pleasantly surprised to find '4G' in the status bar instead of the usual 'H' or the much dreaded 'E' 😄
Speed seems to top off at 18 Mbps right now but has varied between 12 Mbps to 18Mbps in a series of speed tests using Fast.com. Knowing how volatile BSNL 3G speeds are (varies between 7 Mbps at nights but can also crawl down to 200 kbps during peak hours), I plan to check night time speeds.
My Jio datapack expired yesterday and I'm having second thoughts whether to renew it or to ride the BSNL train for a few days to see how the performance is.

We may troll and make fun of BSNL at every level.
But BSNL is actually trying hard to compete with private players.
And we all should accept that we are seeing the difference post collaboration with TCS within few months. Hope they bring major in 5G network soon as well next year across India.
Same here in my Town started seeing 4G singnal since 2 weeks
UPDATE:
Have not been getting 4G signal after that one evening. Maybe it was just a trial run or maybe far too many people hopping on it. Back to unpredictable 3G speeds.
What BSNL giveth, now BSNL has taketh away. 😌
