Spam Ads on Vodafone - Any one faced this ?

Now we all get spam on our mobile. Fine. So do I. Earlier this year I had to switch to Vodafone due to network issues with both Jio / Airtel. All was good but since last few months I am getting many Ads (colorful) on my SMS (not whatsapp).... yes not the simple text ones but colorful / formatted ones. Spoke to Vodafone but they deny sending and I don't know how to stop it. Anyone faced something similar and can offer a solution pls. Thanks.

In native OS of my phone (a Samsung), there seems to be no foolproof way of adding senders with 'text code' as the sender.

SMS messaging does not really have a rich-text formatting option.
Maybe if you show an example, it might better to grasp.
Even if the sender ID is masked as a alphanumeric or random name (text), still one can raise DND Complaints to TRAI.
and DoT, Telecom ministry authorities also take cognizance of international suspected phishing attacks, data breaches too.
Unless the advertisement are directly soliciting for VI services, it is hard to say if it is from VI.
No, I never got the spam you are describing. But god forbid if a number is without any unlimited pack and even if it has service validity (say: ₹99 pack)

then too VI spams with almost daily 'multiple' messages to recharge with an unlimited pack.
All such messages promote phonepe and even have a clickout link, enticing one with 'cashbacks', if one pays on phonepe.

That colorful sms is called RC. Rich communication services . Keep reporting that's all we can do.

Are you using Google message app? The culprit is google. Disable it immediately and switch to SMS Organizer by Microsoft...
