HDFC seems to have silently changed their terms. I didn't get cashback last month. My CC bill payment in statement shows as "RENTALBBPSNO". It used to be "HDFCBILLPAY" in earlier months. I have not received any communication of this cashback term changes. Now, I feel useless with HDFC account. This 750 cashback was the main reason for me to have HDFC account. Their mobile app started showing too many intrusive loan Ads from past month. I have asked them to convert my savings account to salary account 2 months back and request got completed successfully as they say. But no change in account; it still remains classic (downgraded from platinum due to low balance) even after 2 salary credits.
Below are their terms now! Not sure if they had been like that earlier also.
- Get 1 Cashback point on every ₹ 100 spent on Telecom, Utilities.
- Get 1 Cashback point on every ₹ 200 spent on Groceries, Supermarket, Restaurant, Apparels & Entertainment
- Maximum cap of ₹ 750 per account per month
- No Cashback points for all other categories apart from the one above.
Does anyone have suggestions for credit card bill payments?
Cc bill payment was wrongly considered as utility payment and after BBPS they fixed it. Ppl who got cashback for wrong category infact, in one way got wrong CB by cheatways.
So cannot blame bank. Correct me if my understanding is wrong.
Still ppl using unipay, jio app for getting CB using loopholes.
@Stone_man every single day i comment this - Pay your Credit Card bills through SBI Unipay, Jio finance app and Canara Setu website and earn 1 % upto 750 cashback per month on HDFC Platinum debit card.
2.5% upto 400 per month on HDFC Millennia debit card.
