shavers/trimmers- the real truth
previously shavers/trimmers used to come with replaceable aa/aaa batteries and used to last long unless broken. then companies shifted to rechargeable batteries and they used to last for 4-5 years, if battery got kaput then plug it in and use it. but the manufacturers are very smart, to make sure that customers keep on buying them after a few years here's what they did, If the rechargeable battery doesnt charge anymore, they stopped the plug in and use it feature that is you cannot use it while its plugged in. Now they have made reaplcing the battery very hard. both batteries are soldered together so high chances that you will need to take it outside to get it resoldered again. Now here's another issue the guy who solders them should be extremely skilled otherwise the circuit wont work or it will overheat. The service center of many companies charge 400-500 for one battery, they use normal desi ones, plus 200-250 as service charges and on top of that no bill, no warranty. Yes many dimers have replaced batteries and their trimmers/shavers work fine but with time, with new models the companies are making sure that once the battery stops working, it cannot be repaired at all. Most of the times people complain that the product overheats if even duracell battery is soldered in through a skilled person in soldering.
have you noticed the same thing?
