As much as 90% of the revenue of Zeroadha alone is/was coming from rebates in brokerage (that) it gives/gave on F and O trades.

Allowing naked positions has been one of THE worst form of giving 'the short end of the stick'.. to the retail investors.
It is especially a much bigger concern for markets that lack enough depth and are easier to manipulate given the lack of maturity within the system.

However this is not a sermon, nor I intend to preach.
Mr. Kamath (of Zeroadha) already hinted that the F and O customers might get impacted more, whereas the delivery based equity trades would see some nominal brokerages to begin with.

Since I never used and hopefully never will use all these Groww, Upstox, AngelOne, Zeroadha type entities, nor consult much with those who are their customers
I may not know of the finer details of being a customer of discount brokerages.

I do however know that the authorities and powers that be.. are in consultations with the stakeholders (including these discount brokerages) to further understand and work out an overall better fit for everyone.

In the short run though, yes, retail investors and short term traders too would need to incorporate these nominal costs by way of charges on delivery trades too.

Thankfully, the impact on F and O traderers would be significantly higher than on direct equity investors.

If it were up to me to influence such decisions,
Indian markets would have been a much stable and much more safe place for retail investors
if all derivatives trades were only and only covered trades (no short selling allowed without actually holding the underlying).
Derivatives were meant to be a hedge against a price risk at a future time.
Unfortunately it was reduced to gambling, market manipulation and defrauding the investors by launching complex (layered) products based on such derivatives.

mhm well have to wait and see on the fate of discount broker and their zero brokerage delivery trades

personally i am fan of zero delivery brokerage and I have accounts with most of the full time brokers with brokerage as well as discount brokers you mentioned with zero delivery charge (Groww, Upstox, Zeroadha) and AngelOne is full time broker not discount broker (sadly i dont have account with Angelone because of their maintenance charge yearly in a tricky name)

Now i dont know what they are gonna charge in their brokerage hence worried on how much all the brokers are gonna increase their charges in brokerage
