Actually I am more interested in applying for Axis Airtel card. As Axis don't allow more than 3 cards, I thought of closing it. Also how long should I wait before applying for Airtel card after closing this one??

My spends vary every month. Sometimes it doesn't go above 10k also and sometime it may reach upto 50k as well. That's why I am bit confused should I really close it, I don't want to give the renewal charge as it is almost impossible to reach the spend waiver in it.
how to know axis fk renewal date?

Getting Axis Airtel is very difficult, you'll be lucky if you can get one. And if you are unable to apply from the Airtel app, then apply it through the Axis Bank branch.
I also have been using Axis Flipkart nearly 4 years now, along with Samsung and IOCL, but after the latest devaluation, I will be getting all of them closed right before their renewal dates. Can you believe that they increased the min spend criteria for the annual fee waiver for AXIS IOCL CC straight from 50k to 3.5LC..!!!! That's literally unbelievable. My renewal date is in June this year and my life was sorted, until last night. Now they suddenly expect me to spend another 2.8LC in 3 months. 😂
I'm not sure if they have devalued the Airtel CC too, but they surely will. And I would suggest you to apply for Cashback SBI CC since it gives 5% everywhere with a monthly capping of ₹5,000. So apart from the recharges and UPI payments, your online purchases would be pretty much sorted.
I am not sure if they provide Axis Airtel through bank, mostly I have heard that it can only be received through Airtel app. Some people have also reported that they were able to get hold to it by using alternate numbers. Axis Airtel was also devalued, their cashback is capped from 300 to 250. But atleast it wasn't that big of a change.
Seriously bro, the new spend waiver for IOCL is just preposterous, 7 times the actual value. Luckily I have got IOCL as LTF last year, so thinking of keeping it, even though it was devalued yesterday in terms of edge rewards I guess.
Now my concern is the Flipkart card is my oldest one and how badly it will affect the CIBIL if I close it. And no way I would be spending 3.5L on FK card, that's just ridiculous spending, I have Millenia and Tata Neu to take care of that.
With last year's SBI Cashback devaluation I don't have faith in them that they won't resort to such crazy tactics as Axis.
Millennia card has a max cashback of Rs.1000 per month.
If your spends are below Rs.20000 you can close the card
