What is the use of cod
anyway, we can't actually open the box before the payment.

If U R Not Interested To Send Delhi , Then Change Ad Visibility To Ur Local Areas And Nearest Small Villages/Town.
Easy To Sell Person To Person.
Some Shops Also Buy Mobile If U Have Bill + Box.

similar risks as any e-commerce sellers take, when someone places COD order.
1] order/package refusal by consignee.
2] in transit loss or damage.
Although point [2] can technically be covered by insurance,
pilferage or some ancillary issues might turn out to be harder to prove.
For example, the cargo carrier (even if India Post or upto FedEx) says that yes, insurance is possible at just 7½-8% extra, but the only insurer option is the one we have tie-up with
or that they have a bulk tie-up and for the consignor, the cargo carrier themselves are the counterparty.
Now in this case if a random person or some internal person manages to open the cargo, replace your item and re-pack it.. then.. if the consignee refuses or for some reason the package is returned to sender
or if the consignee bribes the last mile person or does something and returns the parcel
then the onus to prove wrong-doing will be on the consignor.
Suppose there is no ill-will from the consignee, but maybe the person still cannot accept or is out of station or out of body (=⚰️)
consignment returns to consignor.
Externally the item looks okay, but someone had stepped on the package, sat on it or due to sone weight.. the phone flexed and had some internal issue or is not switching ON.
Again, proving thus for insurance purposes might get tiresome.
in most contract of carriage, the freight is earned the cargo carrier IN ADVANCE or despite demurrage or even jettisoning some cargo.
So yes, if i am the captain of an airship or a sea-ship and to save the ship from impending peril.. i decide that 20% of the cargo has to be jettisoned (thrown overboard).
Even in this case, the contract of carriage necessitates the freight charges to be paid to the cargo carrier.
Claiming insurance can happen separately.
This may not apply in your case as your cargo from A to B (Delhi) will mostly mot go via air-ship or water-ship.

Why COD ?
Tell him to pay first. Then courier the mobile.
And it's better to sell to nearby person whom you can meet.
