Hi everyone,

I’m on the hunt for some high-quality LED string lights, specifically those that can change colors and have multiple modes. Does anyone have experience buying these from local shops? I’d love to hear your suggestions on good brands, price points, and the overall quality of the string fairy LED lights you’ve purchased.

I’m also particularly interested in the color-changing ones, similar to those mentioned in this post: https://x.com/INTERIORPORN1/status/181537729974....

I’ve noticed that many options available online have fewer LED bulbs than I’d like. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Not the right time to shop for led lights as we near the festival because they hype up the prices.

From what I know, you better go for 8mm LEDs for brightness. Make sure they are water proof because it usually rains during the festival. Those circuit boxes provided with the light strings go bad if water goes inside.

Watch YouTube videos for more information n pricing.

Very less chance of the local manufacturers being able to compete with the Chinese, on the fancy ones which is your requirement.

And a high chance that someone in forced detention camps or imprisoned for flimsy reasons.. are working 13-14 hours there.. as slave labour.. to make those lights.. hence I would not be too keen.,

I mean I could surely get over my guilt of helping China invade us, by paying for their stuff. Or the guilt that unpaid or underpaid slave labour made these lights, sometimes in deadly work conditions.
And in that case I would pay for whichever ones seem worth it, after physical inspection and a demo.
